If an individual possesses condition X, that does qualify him to make conclusive assertions about the cause of condition X in all individuals, or even in himself. E.g., if someone has diabetes or manic-depression, he is not thereby qualified to assert the cause of these consitions in all individuals, on the cause of these conditions in himself. To prove causation requires a chain of evidence; it is not achieved by mere assertion.

C'mon, you're ruining all the fun.

You will see that there are many like him not just one or two indivduals

It is a login problem, not a numbers problem.

Nor does it disqualify him.

I did know courage was that easy.

I think you meant to say "didn't"
Actually the courage part comes from admitting your incomplete education on a matter and then, when educated, admitting you were wrong

Wanting to know the truth even if it dispells a held view is a choice, just like homosexuality

Anyway, there is scientific proof that homosexuality is not genetic. The fact that the identical twin of a gay man has only a 52% chance of being gay proves there is no gay gene. If it were genetic the twin brother would have a 100% chance of being gay.

Can't argue with logic like that.

So how do we know that we're born straight? What if both are acquired lifestyles? This guy seems to be able to switch between them at will.

Well first there was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

And the point is homosexualty is a abnormal CHOICE (or will)
One is not born a homosexual

If homosexuals were born that way, then God could never have said it is an abomonation to Him, for the genetic code would have been there from the beginning.

The homosexual life style is created through a mind-set somewhere along life's pathway. It can never be equal to a man and woman relationship. We are made to procreate in the most intimate way. That is God's way. It is a holy sacrament of His doing. Love, not a petri dish or donor to a lesbien. That lifestyle is harming our children. They need a loving mother and father working as a family unit to grow children up normal; and as we all know, even that sometimes doesn't work for whatever reason. But children have a far better chance in life growing up in a sane family than a sinful lifestyle.

On Bill O'Reilly: "He did not receive me very well and unfortunately Bill O'Reilly is a bit confused on this issue. He came out in full support of gay rights last year."

O'Reilly is a bit confused on a lot of issues. He's a walking contradiction. I don't think I've seen anyone try to stradle the fence as much as this guy does. His *alls must be swollen.

Actually that's a really stupid assertion the more I think about it. based on your reasoning doctors should not attempt to diagnose patients by asking them what they ate, where they've been, what their symptoms have been or ask them, "What do YOU think caused this condition?"

More often than not patient testimony is the most accurate path to diagnosis and treatment of a condition. And in cases where the doctors have disqualifed themselves from scientific objectivity, as the mental health profession has done in this case, then patient testimony may be all we can rely on.

Gee maybe because we are born with the right anatomy for being heterosexual. Maybe that could be it. Ya think? :o)

I was in love with my boyfriend, had great gay and lesbian friends. But the problem with that was is that deep down I knew something was wrong.

All homosexuals feel this way because the conscience is always telling them that they are behaving badly - living a lie. But because they want to remain in the dark, and the leftists in the media want them to remain in the dark (for instance by not allowing people like Mr. Bennet speak the truth), they interpret this "wrong feeling" as internalized societal disapproval. The homosexuals think that if everyone just LOVES them this small voice in their hearts will go away.

The voice telling them they are wrong won't go away, even if every person on earth joins them.

Well said. There's two kinds of people in the world - those who want to know the truth, and those who want to see and hear only what props up their fond belief system, and avoid anything which might disagree with it. (Hint - the truth is good, the other side is darkness...)
