Jefferson Davis was partially blind, suffering from severe eye problems, but I have no recollection of Lincoln ever challenging him. Do you mean Shields? Please provide evidence?

It was James Shields who challenged Lincoln to the duel. Shields was not blind, going on to be a Union Army general and the only person elected to the U. S. Senate from three different states (Illinois, Minnesote, and Missouri).
