Four news networks --CNN, Headline News, MSNBC and CNBC -- lost viewership in the third quarter, but powerhouse Fox News picked up steam, according to Nielsen Media Research.

In the third quarter, Atlanta-based CNN attracted an average of 440,000 -- down 15 percent from the same period last year. Sister network Headline News attracted an average of 170,000, down 25 percent.

MSNBC drew an average of 203,000 viewers, a 19 percent slide. And CNBC got an average of 160,000, down 23 percent.

Meanwhile, Fox increased viewership 17 percent, attracting an average of 730,000 viewers.

This is the seventh straight quarter that Fox has won the news network ratings war.

I think it's one "N" in her first name, not that I care all that much.

Her people over at CNN had better do more than whine about FOX's coverage if they want to slow that ratings slide.

Wonder when the liberal media is going to figure it out? Ah well, they never have been good at business.

Hail the Queen of Fox News!

Anyway, it is stunning how quickly FoxNews left CNN in the dust. It is a rout. FoxNews now has nearly twice as many viewers as CNN on a regular basis. Who would have thought this even a few short years ago?

Everywhere I go these days, FoxNews is increasingly on the monitors instead of CNN. Airports, bars, hotels, etc. I am staying in the New York City area this week and every morning at 5AM, I head to the exercise room to use the treadmill. FoxNews is on the monitor there as well as the lobby out front. When I stayed at the same hotel last year, it was CNN that was in the hotel lobby (I didn't use the exercise room back then but I bet it was the same).

It's pretty pathetic. Makes me cringe when they do that. I also cringe when MSNBC does the same thing.

I too have started to see Fox in more and more places.

And when I don't see Fox on in one of the places, I specifically ask for it.

What was it that honest Abe once said: You can fool......
It's clear that the liberal media is completely ignorant of it.

I just spent 5 days in the hospital, the most miserable days I spent in my life.

Not only did I have a ton of procedures, but I was forced to watch network and CNN only for news.

No wonder I had a heart problem.

Anyway, it is stunning how quickly FoxNews left CNN in the dust. It is a rout.

Especially considering just a couple years ago CNN made fun of FOX as an insignificant challenger.

My wholesale love affair with Fox has lost some of its previous "passion" since Fox had the first opportunity to distribute Mel Gibson's Passion movie and very publicly said NO, caving to a protest of Jewish politicians outside Fox News headquarters.

Maybe Fox News is one of those examples of even a broken clock is right twice a day. Everything else Fox does sucks -- Murdoch's newspapers are mostly sensationalist garbage, Fox TV channels spread trash with even their advertisements during sporting events unsuitable for kids, and as for Fox films, they passed on Mel's pro-Christian movie but had no problem releasing the very anti-Catholic The Order which justifiably bombed. If Mel's movie doesn't get a distributor soon, I've heard some rumblings from Christian sites about starting a boycott of Fox to punish them for taking conservatives for granted and biting the hand that feeds.

Everything's political these days.
