I am sure that “moderate” muslims are merely thos who do not understand their own religion/ideology ,but I have to admit the following is an excellent paragraph:

They are not “getting things right” they are just wary of all of the attention it is getting and all of the negative press. If people like the people here on freerepublic and the talk radio never made an issue out of this the moderate Muslims would still be silent about it.
I wouldn’t mind having Dr. Jasser as a friend or neighbor. Too bad only about one-third of all Muslims get it like he does.
The political Muslims have already spoken, so that is the accepted line. No other Muslim positions will be permitted.

Just when I decided that the only good Muslim was a dead Muslim, this has to come up. Don’t blame me for my stated beliefs as I have almost given up on a Muslim group stating something such as this. I have hope now and am willing to admit I was wrong, if only we could see more of this sort of thing in the Main Stream Media, but of course that may never happen. I did see a Muslim woman state such as this on O’Reilly the other night. Let’s hope the ones that hate redicals as much as we do , come forth.

Fear of backlash, nothing more. They remember very well the aftermath of 9/11 and they dont want to face that again. The number of muslims who genuinely oppose this on principle is minuscule — you could count them on two hands.
