A child has been denied entrance into an Episcopal school in Bedford because her parents are married lesbians.
Jill and Tracy Harrison, lesbians married in 2006 in Canada, applied to enroll their daughter into St. Vincent's School, in June.
Jill gave birth to Olivia, thanks to a sperm donor. On the application, they crossed out the word father on the application and wrote mother and put Tracy's name on that line. Jill was written on the mother line.
They attended the school's parent night on Tuesday, and now, just a few days before school starts Monday, the school is denying their daughter Olivia enrollment into the school because her parents are lesbians, the women said.

I'd ask that if you take the time to read it, use their silly scale to sound off that you are not, in fact, furious. It would be nice to see some support for our parish.

I feel for the kid being raised by attention whores like these. They had to know that any real Christian school would react this way.
And for everyone pushing same-sex marriage, this is an indication of what we will see as they push churches and affiliated religious institutions to recognize same-sex marriages.
The child is caught in the middle, and that’s sad.
Some people say that gay activists are NOT going to sue religious institutions about same-sex marriage or same-sex acceptance. But when you see events such as this, it makes you wonder if acceptance of the “gay” agenda is going to be forced on religions eventually.
Yet another example of how, as we are constantly told by the liberal lamestream media, these “alternative lifestyles” have no negative impact on the children involved.
I don't see the problem with any Christian Church sending two genitalia worshipers packing. The only tragedy here is that poor child growing up with raving perverts polluting her soul.

Not anywhere can two people of the same sex really be married. They may have a piece of paper from the gubberment saying they are and the gubberment may be able to punish folks if they disagree, but that’s still not enough to change the definition of marriage as many faiths understand it.

I certainly hope the fact that I copied the text directly from an article does not somehow lead people to believe that I am on the side of these “parents.”
Biologically no, but legally perhaps. While only a handful of states recognize gay marriage, many states - and I think TX (but am not sure) - recognizes gay adoption. Plus, the US is signatory to certain international treaties that recognize adoption proceedings in foreign countries. IOW, if this other lesbian actually adopted her "partner's" child, then they are both parents, in the eyes of US federal and most state law.

They’re probably homosexual activists who will now sue the school. The child is merely their pawn.
That’s why they did it.
What they should do is admit the child, but make it clear to the parents that they will teach the child that homosexuality is a sin, and see if they will still want her there.
Would just give them an excuse for a lawsuit of another kind. ;-)
