America's new god.

On June 26th, the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.was the latest church to be used for the promotion of syncretism—the attempted union of different religions. The idea was that “Christian” ministers, Jewish Rabbis, and Muslim Imams would co-lead a service in “Christian” churches around America using a multi-faith liturgy.

Sadly, 70 other churches across America signed on to do the same thing. The event was organized by a group called “Faith Shared.” It comes as no shock that the service was designed to promote “religious tolerance.” This is indeed a major step forward in promoting what I believe to be America’s new god of tolerance.

Exodus 20:5

1 And God spake all these words, saying,

2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Why this willful ignorance of islam? Dancing with the devil is a dangerous game.

May God have mercy on their souls.

Rodney King must be the prophet. His famous aphorism is - "can't we all just get along". This after of course leading police on a high speed chase and being the cause dejure for one of the worst riots in American history. Truth doesn't matter, beauty is irrelevant and metaphysics is impossible.

Let's all sing kum bah yah and hold hands with antichrists and false prophets. It will make Rodney happy and while we are occupied with our silly love-in we will be robbed, beaten and enslaved.

To stop seeking the God who is there, is to stop asking the ultimate questions of humanity, including:

These liberal “apostate” denominations are not only naïve and ignorant of the truth of the Christian faith, they are acting on emotional impulse in a way that ultimately endangers our nation.

I wish the denominations were listed in the article.

They are seeking to engender personal acceptance from others, rather than imploring others to accept Christ as the Savior.

Good observation.

I have acquaintances who are Buddhists, Taoists, atheists, Jews, Christians, Wiccans Hindus and assorted other things. There are some very fundamental differences between different religions. Even my tree hugging Eclectic Wiccan friend who is philosophically as inclusive as anybody I have ever met doesn't believe that Muslims are to be trusted or that all faiths really share all that much common ground. Can we all get along? Maybe we all can, but denying our differences rather then recognizing them is disrespectful of everyone.

Actually, it’s more of a construction process...the construct of the apostate church. There must be a counterfeit church (a tool of Satan) to the actual Church of Christ.

How do I know? It doesn’t take a genius to read The Word...and then read the signs. Too bad so many don’t bother.

No, we cannot get along-as in believe that there is more than one path to know God.

However that doesn’t mean that we can’t tolerate people-and hope and pray that they come to Christ, as well as expect not to be blown up for thining such..

I have a problem with this.... once upon a time religious men were educated and knowledgeable. Today they are equating islam as a common religion NOT recognizing it is just a trojan for Sharia.

Sharia’s objective is to supplant and supersede all governmental systems wherever it takes root. It is in direct competition with our constitution and needs to be outlawed as it is both treasonous and seditious. It is like cancer with one goal... to kill the host!

Its too bad the “religious scholars” are so ill informed.

Its too bad we have a muslim in what used to be known as the White House.

Have they had their flag raising ceremony yet?

Tolerance isn't the same as acceptance. I'll tolerate Moslems to a point, and that point is either when they tell me Jesus wasn't the Son of God, or when they tell me I need to put my wife in a burkha. When either of those happens, all bets are off.

The article notes that none of these joint services ever happens to occur in a mosque; and although he mentions the participation of some 70 other “churches” in the program, he fails to identify them. The National Cathedral’s sectarian affiliation is primarily Episcopalian (American Anglican/Church of England) a religion so averse to binding (religio, -are) its practioners that Eddie Izzard’s biggest laughs come from comments about its extreme friendliness & elasticity—”Tea & cake or death.”

For years people inside and out of the CHruch have been saying “Oh, it’s all the same God really or many paths lead to One God” is it any wonder then that we have come to this.

FYI the Muslim, Hindu, New Age gods are not the same as the One God of the Bible.

THis “why can’t we all get along” crap and the “same God” theory makes Christians lukewarm to the truth - we all know what happens to that sort!

A good reply -T-anks it reflects in some ways my own experience. I seem to recall something read of the seed of Ishmael—that the swords of everyone would be against them —and their swords against all —yet they demand and will be heard. All that said (if I recollect right) does not suggest the children of Light ought be dancing with the darkness.
