Sad but true. Pure democracy doesn’t really work either with the amount of illiterate and easily manipulated folks voting, both here and in the Near East. That’s why I believe the ideal government on this planet is, as Benjamin Franklin said:“A Republic, if you can keep it.”
Me, too. People just need to realize that not everyone can "keep it."
