“Why don’t people believe it was an angel?”

They don’t believe in God or angels.

Given the oils, I would take bilocation over an angel—but would bet on a living priest, though Padre Pio is an interesting thought. Supposedly one day in recreation one of his brethren was telling a story about someone who had been in five places at once, to which Padre Pio replied: “Really? I can’t imagine being in more than three.”

A gentle correction is in order.

The angels and the saints, those who have gone before ahead of us, support us in this life not only by their prayers of intercession, but they can and do come to earth called “apparations”.

I second what Salvation said. This was an angel.

“Not true. Pastors of many denominations use annointing oil. Actually I think any elder/deacon in a Protestant church could do the same. Laying on of hands is what we call it.”

I do recall that some protestants used that oil for the sick. However one with a sharp eye would know the difference when spotting a catholic using it and a protestant using it. I would having been a protestant long long ago.

“Very different ritual of the Sacrament”

You know this, I know this, they don’t.

That is why we could spot this.

The only time a ghost is described in His word, it refers to giving up the ghost or the Holy Ghost.... whatever medium or soothsayer or Hollywood has told you, do not believe it.... believe His Word.
His word warns not to turn to mediums or spiritists for you will be defiled by them .. Leviticus 19 ..

I was under the assumption you are referring to saints as believers until you noted intercession.. Saint can have a more broad definition... especially for one Church that goes quite a ways to honor (worship) dead believers with feasts, days....
And if you are a member of that church with the likes of fatima, I can see completely why you believe what you believe....

Well, yes, it does matter. A Catholic priest, or someone that seemed to be one, wouldn’t show up to anoint a Protestant. Seems the person would be someone SHE would be most comfortable with, but then maybe there were several miracles there.

I absolutely agree with you, people can’t come back from the dead nor do they know what we are doing, including Mary and the saints.

Padre Pio: The priest who claimed to have hundreds of "conversations" and/or been beaten bloody by demons?

Why are only Catholic clergy ever engaged in these types of physical/occult manifestations?

There is NOTHING Scriptural about such "intercessions" of the dead or "saints".

Demons DO OFTEN appear as apparitions, masquerading as angels of light, even producing Marian visions and speeches.

Moreover, NO mortal can be reincarnated in this world to "help." That act is an intention deception by Satan. OTOH, the Lord Himself MAY and HAS interceded -- but without all the physical fanfare.

Not just the clergy but I’m told some nuns/monks had this happen too. The closer one gets to Christ the more the devil wants to attack is the reason.

I agree with that....

But why don't Protestant clergy and laypersons seem yo be the target of attack by these physical manifestations of demons?? Why don't angels and "saints" appears to them?

I don't doubt your faith, Morgana, but Demonic Deception seems to prey upon those who most tend to believe in reincarnate spirits who emerge as physical manifestations (Catholics and those whose psyches are open to suggestion, mostly).

I will admit to you of personal spiritual attacks in my conscious state of mind that attempted physical take-overs. It's insidious and challenge to one's faith. But never have I experienced or heard (not that it's impossible) of the physical emergence of a demon, angel, or "relative".

no, it wasn’t Padre Pio: Usually when he appears he is dressed in his brown robe of the Franciscans.I base this on a story of a little boy who woke up from a coma asking who that nice man in brown was, and it turned out that one of the boy’s family had prayed to Padre Pio.

This priest was dressed in ordinary clothing, and had a “roman collar”. I’m guessing he is an ordinary priest who “just happened” to be there.
