Touching kids is always an outrage, and the one who does it deserves the severest treatment.
But...
Being touched by an adult does not mean that one who has been touched must suffer permanent damage or alteration of life because of it.
Our culture insists that if one is a victim, he must be affected forever by it, and must display his wounds from then on. Even conservatives, who in other cases pooh pooh the culture of victimization, buy into this psychobabble.
By God’s grace, very many people have happily moved on from all kinds of personal trespasses and injuries. It simply does not follow that if one is molested or harmed, he is required to be encumbered for the rest of his life.
Thank you for pointing that out. I have come across a couple of people who were physically abused as children who completely moved on to live good and happy lives. Healing can and does happen.
