The words of Jesus Christ in Scripture and history show plainly that the sabbath to be kept holy is the 7th day of the week. The time period from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday.

The words of scripture:

Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Thousands of years later Christ spoke to his followers and reminded them of his sabbath and enshrined it in the 10 commandments:

Exd 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exd 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exd 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exd 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Thousands of years later Christ again spoke to his followers and affirmed the holiness of the 7th day:

Mar 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
Mar 2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

The word translated "man" means mankind. All of mankind. The 7th day sabbath, according to Jesus Christ, was created for all of mankind.

If Jesus created it holy (and he did) and if he enshrined i the 10 commandments (and he did) and if he affirmed it's holiness in the new testament (and he did) then any attempt to change it is revisionist history.
