Indeed, the harlot is merely being used by the beast to advance its cause: to draw “the entire order” of men into the wicked theories of “Socialism and Communism.” How can America, the greatest military power on earth, be destroyed? From the inside out: by spreading the errors that were implemented in Russia, namely atheism, Darwinism, and materialism. These have spawned further “isms” such as feminism, scientism, rationalism etc. that have successfully eroded not only the moral, but social foundations of the West.
No wonder the popes were warning, in the strongest language possible, of the dangers they saw in the application of the errant philosophies of those secret societies.

Indeed, Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen, in one of his early broadcasts, notes that Communism is actually a child of the West, of the “Enlightenment” that was spawned and fostered by the founders of modern Freemasonry:5
There is not a single philosophical idea in Communism that did not come from the West. It’s philosophy came from Germany, its sociology

Indeed, few realize that Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin, and Karl Marx, who wrote the Communist Manifesto, were on the payroll of the Illuminati.6 A german poet and journalist and friend of Marx, Heinrich Heine, wrote in 1840, seventy-seven years before Lenin stormed Moscow: ‘The shadowy creatures, the nameless monsters to whom the future belongs, Communism is the secret name of this tremendous adversary.’

But many today believe that, with the fall of the Berlin Wall and dissolution of the U.S.S.R., that Communism died, or at least, merely continued on in more benign forms (though the killing of 45-60 million Chinese under Communist leader Mao Zedong into the early 1960′s is hardly benign). But this is not true. Communism has not died, but rather, changed face. In fact, the “collapse” of the Soviet Union was entirely planned years in advance.
Anatoliy Golitsyn, a KGB defector from the U.S.S.R., revealed in 1984 “with 94% accuracy” the events that would follow with changes to the Communist Bloc, the reunification of Germany, etc. with the aim of a New World Social Order controlled by Russia and China. 
The changes were touted by Michel Gorbachev, then leader of the Soviet Union, as a “perestroika”, which means “restructuring.”

Indeed, Gorbachev himself was on record speaking before the Soviet Politburo (policy-making committee of the Communist party) in 1987 saying:
Gentlemen, comrades, do not be concerned about all you hear about Glasnost and Perestroika and democracy in the coming years. They are primarily for outward consumption. There will be no significant internal changes in the Soviet Union, other than for cosmetic purposes. Part of the ploy was to lure that portion of America that was not only patriotic, but moral, into a slumber that only corruption can bring about, and through her, spread this corruption, and hence chaos throughout the world, preparing the soil for a utopian savior: Communism. As Antonio Gramsci (1891 – 1937), who founded the Italian Communist Party, said: “We’re going to turn their music, art, and literature against them.”7
Former FBI agent, Cleon Skousen, revealed in detail forty-five Communist goals in his 1958 book, The Naked Communist.8 As you read a few of them, see for yourself how successful this odious plan has been. For these goals were conceived well over five decades ago:
#17 Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
#28 Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”
#31 Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history…
#29 Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-
fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
#16 Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
#40 Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity, masturbation and easy divorce.
#24 Eliminate all laws governing obscenty by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.
#25 Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
#26 Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”
#20, 21 Infiltrate the press. Gain control of key positions in radio, tv, and motion pictures.
#27 Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the bible.
#41 Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents.
All of this has been accommodated and actively promoted by the media who practically act as the image of the beast:
There is another explanation for the rapid diffusion of the Communistic ideas now seeping into every nation, great and small, advanced and backward, so that no corner of the earth is free from them. This explanation is to be found in a propaganda so truly diabolical that the world has perhaps never witnessed its like before. The Pope noted that, on the other hand, the advance of these ideas was also abetted by a ‘conspiracy of silence on the part of a large section of the non-Catholic press of the world. We say conspiracy, because it is impossible otherwise to explain how a press usually so eager to exploit even the little daily incidents of life has been able to remain silent for so long’ on the horrors produced by Communism.9 This was apparently confirmed by American banker, David Rockefeller:
We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected the promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world-government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries. —David Rockefeller, Speaking at the June, 1991 Bilderberger meeting in Baden, Germany (a meeting also attended by then-Governor Bill Clinton and by Dan Quayle)
Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen could not have summarized it better in his prophetic words that were broadcast around the same time as the Communist goals were exposed:

Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great. She has become a haunt for demons. She is a cage for every unclean spirit, a cage for every unclean bird, [a cage for every unclean] and disgusting [beast]. For all the nations have drunk the wine of her licentious passion. The kings of the earth had intercourse with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her drive for luxury. (Rev 18:3)
THE COLLAPSE OF MYSTERY BABYLON
I have no doubt that, for some of my readers, this information is overwhelming and seemingly too fantastical to be true. Yet, the attempt of Satan to establish a world-wide power is biblical and clearly unfolding before our very eyes. I have to agree with American Catholic author Stephen Mahowald:
America has been converted—she gave up, without even a fight, just as Gramsci’s plan said she would. —She Shall Crush Thy Head, Stephen Mahowald, p. 126
What remains is for the collapse of “Mystery Babylon” so that she will not stand in the way of global domination. That time, brothers and sisters, appears to be here. The “mother of harlots” has accomplished everything and more that the beast desired. The “inside” information coming out of the United States right now, including that from former four star 
generals, is that over the next two years, the collapse of the financial system10 is imminent.11 Remarkably, the U.S. military leadership is being dismissed or “retired” at a rapid rate and the Army is being reduced to a size smaller than before WWII.12 An independent panel appointed by the Pentagon and Congress says that, already, reduction in the military by President Obama has left America too weak to counter global threats.13 Furthermore, who can explain what appears to be the intentional dissolution of American borders as thousands of “refugees” flood into the country? It all appears, say many observers, to be a deliberate destabilization of the country.
While I do not put much stock in timelines, it is interesting to note that Charlie Johnston, that American Catholic I told you about who has been visited by the Archangel Gabriel for over 50 years,14 just revealed:
…a little more than three years from now, after suffering through the worst, deepest crisis in human history, Our Lady will be sent to rescue us miraculously. —from “Choose or Perish”, August 11th, 2014, www.charliej373.wordpress.com
Again, mercy is fluid, and God has been known to change timelines as He pleases. The main point here is that we are being called to prepare, which includes above all removing ourselves from Babylon:
Depart from her, my people, so as not to take part in her sins and receive a share in her plagues, for her sins are piled up to the sky, and God remembers her crimes. (Rev 18:4-5)
THE FINAL OBSTACLE
Brothers and sisters, we have to understand that, despite the actions and evil intent of those wicked men behind the scenes, whom Pius XI called “occult forces,”15 the “plan” for worldwide Communism is at its root satanic. In fact, Karl Marx was not himself an atheist: he was a satanist, as are those in the highest levels of Freemasonry. The goal is clearly stated in the Book of Revelation:
Fascinated, the whole world followed after the beast. They worshiped the dragon because it gave its authority to the beast; they also worshiped the beast and said, “Who can compare with the beast or who can fight against it?” (Rev 13:3-4)
Satan, in his hatred of God, wants to be worshiped in His stead. As such, that fallen angel, Lucifer, has waited millennia to fully implement his plan, insofar as God permits. For as St. Thomas Aquinas said in those comforting words:
Even the demons are checked by good angels lest they harm as much as they would. In like manner, Antichrist will not do as much harm as he would wish. —St. Thomas Aquinas, Summa Theologica, Part I, Q.113, Art. 4
The final obstacle to Satan’s plan is not America. It is the Catholic Church. Hence, the powerful and repeated condemnations of the 
Supreme Pontiffs against this insidious “cancer” of Communism, which is coming about in this present Global Revolution by means of the Seven Seals of Revolution.
This modern revolution, it may be said, has actually broken out or threatens everywhere, and it exceeds in amplitude and violence anything yet experienced in the preceding persecutions launched against the Church. Entire peoples find themselves in danger of falling back into a barbarism worse than that which oppressed the greater part of the world at the coming of the Redeemer. —POPE PIUS XI, Divini Redemptoris: On Atheistic Communism, n. 2
Who can argue with that prophecy as genocides, racial tensions, and brutal Islamic violence frequently occupy the headlines? Most notably is the persecution of Christians in the Middle East surpassing, according to one bishop, the persecution of Christianity under Nero. What is most evil is that many of these “rebels” and “extremists” who are perpetrating this bloody violence have been directly armed or funded by America and/or her allies.16 Hence, the words of St. John attributed to Mystery Babylon take on a haunting significance:
In her was found the blood of prophets and holy ones and all who have been slain on the earth. (Rev 18:24)
We are living in apocalyptic times. Pope Pius wrote that, ‘For the first time in history, we are witnessing a struggle, cold-blooded in purpose and mapped out to the least detail, between man and “all that is called God.”‘17 St. John Paul II defined it more precisely:
We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through. I do not think that wide circles of the American society or wide circles of the Christian community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-Church, of the Gospel and the anti-Gospel. This confrontation lies within the plans of divine providence. It is a trial which the whole Church… must take up. —Cardinal Karol Wojtyla (JOHN PAUL II), reprinted November 9, 1978, issue of The Wall Street Journal from a 1976 speech to the American Bishops
But in all of this, Jesus stands calmly amidst the great winds and waves of the Storm, and says:
Why are you terrified, O you of little faith? (Matt 8:26)
Jesus, not Satan, is the master of every storm. To those who welcome Him in their “boat” and place their trust in Him, He says:
I will keep you safe in the time of trial that is going to come to the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. (Rev 3:10)

I already took a detour into one of his writings there on the Catholic Charismatic movement, and the important part it will play in these unprecedented end-times battles with the evil one. (That section I just read is at this link: "Charismatic! Part VII".)
NYer, I know you attend a Maronite Eastern Catholic Church, and I was curious as to how extensive the Charismatic movement is integrated into the life of your own Church, if you don't mind sharing that. In the past, I have not gotten involved very much with the Catholic Charismatic movement, but perhaps I really should look into that a little more deeply.
In that Charismatic section of Mark's web site, I read with interest how he seemed to have gotten so much out of both the Western and Eastern rites of the Church, including listening to Russian Sacred (Orthodox?) music, as he discussed here at that link:

I read through all his garbage a long time ago at the university. It didn't impress me then, either, and I was just a dumb 20-something. Imagine how full of holes it was to be so unimpressive to me at that tender age.
Now, I'd much rather focus my energy on more positive, usseful and pleasant reading.
