I mentored two brothers who’s mother was in jail and father’s no where to be found. Grandma with heart problems was raising them. Years later, the younger one told me that his life was actually better when his mom was in jail. Food for thought. P.S. Both boys are now young men in their twenties and have not followed their parent’s path. I could not be prouder of them if they were my sons.

“He has created us and that we require certain things in order to be what we are), we ultimately confront the truth that we are not necessary beings;
we are contingent beings.
Our entire existence is therefore an act of pure mercy and love by God.

Yes, whatever might seem due to us on account of God’s justice is ultimately founded upon an act of His grace and mercy:

‘our very existence.’

GOD BLESS America! AMEN! AMEN!

“Him or her” and “he or she” have crept into the writing and conversation of many otherwise good writers.

Of course, those who use “they” or “them” when “he” or “him” is called for have ceased to be good writers.
