quote-Again, try and find some mainline, but orthodox Protestant Church (wish you become Catholic, but I doubt that). While I disagree on some points of theology, there are some solid Lutheran, Presbyterian, and Traditional Anglican Churches that hold to the historic orthodox Christological and Trinitarian doctrines.

ctrent,
I tried to become a member of an orthodox presbyterian church and He stopped me.
pretty conservative. pretty solid.

which was part of my point.

And there is a big trinitarian doctrine within the Father’s calendar.

Follow the Father’s calendar and you will know why the ‘Father’ finished the work of Creation of the 7th day (Genesis 2- unless the translators have screwed with it) and the Son finished His work of Redemption on the 14th Day.
And the Holy Spirit gets a prophetic week too. and that work, too, is followed by a ‘Sabbath’ Day, that even Jews can recognize.

Passover on the ‘14th Day’ isn’t just another day on the Father’s calendar-
It’s His 6th work day.

Which was my original point about Paul and the 1st importance of the gospel-

The orthodox presbyterian church that I was trying to become a member of, believes and follows falsely, that Christ died for our sins on rome’s good friday.

good friday isn’t ‘Truth’. rome’s friday isn’t the Father’s 6th Day.

And follow down that path-
that makes saturday, the ‘jewish sabbath’, untrue. (a real blow to the seventh day churches and messianic churches out there if they want to test and prove all things)
And that makes sunday, the ‘1st day of the roman week’ untrue.

There was no church, temple, synagogue to go ‘in’ when He showed me this-
The only place to go, was ‘out’. which given a command in the last book of the bible, seemed rather prophetic.

He led me not to be conformed to this world- even the seemingly ‘biblical pattern’ of judeo christianity.

and what I’ve learned from Him because of that nonconformity would sound foreign in a church, temple or synagogue.
Why would the Word Made Flesh sound foreign in a church or temple/synagogue these days?
Because satan has done a good job of deceiving the world.

It should be noted that, from a strictly logical perspective, if the resurrection is true then controversies like this one are meaningless.

CTrent, Thank you. I wasn’t expecting the journey to be like this either.

I did feel like I made a big faith step by quitting my job/career to be a full time caregiver for a loved one with Alzheimers.
And that led to the next step-start going to church. And that is when He started making it hard. That’s when I started asking Him.
But without my loved one having an illness, I don’t see any of this.
And because it was Alzheimers, no day was any more special than the other. So, on one hand, I unlearned ‘time’ at the same time my loved one did.
Humbling.
There but for His Grace, go I..

May Our Creator and Redeemer continue to Bless your journey in this wilderness!
