In the spring of 2014, the Rev. Millie Horning Peters and her clergy friend were eating lunch in Louisville, Kentucky, when their discussion turned to reproductive rights. As people of faith who were also pro-abortion rights, they were concerned by the absence of a religious voice in discussions about women’s health care. Instead, they observed, anti-choice arguments of the outspoken religious right dominated the public debate on reproduction.

So Peters set out to dispel the narrative that all religious people oppose abortion.

“Women ministers” is oxymoronic, so that’s the first problem and the underlying problem. See clergy qualifications in Scripture. You can’t call God a liar, ordaining unqualified individuals, and hope to not be apostate in every other way.

Whenever ANY denomination has engaged in this particular apostasy, ordaining women, they complete their descent shortly thereafter by embracing homosexuality and abortion. Every single time.

Exactly right. This is among the reason I think that women ought not to hold positions of authority above men in the church. I mean not to denigrate, but by God's design, women are emotionally driven while men are more rationally oriented. One is not better than the other, and each has its place, but given this, when women are in positions of authority they are more easily led captive by emotions.

For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
