In this interview BHO articulates views that are pretty common in so called mainstream American Protestanism. The Salvation by Works idea is even held by many pseudp Evangelicals. His view of Jesus is spot on with much of the so called mainstream Protestant churches.

This is a crazed idea. Where did you get it? It certainly didn’t come from me.
Perhaps if you explained why quotes from Jesus, etc., lead you to make so many baseless allegations, we could get to the heart of the problem. Do you reject the book of James?

I am pro-Bible if not pro-biblical. I have my King James Bible, published by the Philadelphia Bible Company, and presented to me personally in 1958. I keep it by my “desk” and I’ve got it right here, with the loose cover which has a rip in it where my drunken roommate hit it with a belt buckle ( by accident ) my Junior Year in college. I remember the moment.
It still has that new Bible smell.

You dismissed an earlier poster who rightly pointed out that Obama is anti-biblical. And you provided in its place an inferior argument. A lot of people claim to have God. The Bible is not silent on this topic of who has God. It is often said that Christians, Jews and Muslims worship the same God. Not according to the Bible.
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. (1 John 2:22,23)
What it ultimately boils down to is who(m) does Jesus know.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? There is only one way to be saved and it is to place one's faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, not in ones own works. That disqualifies.
