Talking about the starting history of how we got the holy mass/communion started.

My goodness,so hyper-sensitive!

The Church is in a cold schism or cold civil war.

I'm not hypersensitive.

A poster inquired, "Would Jesus break bread with lowly Samaritans and Protestants? Or have communion with them?"

You responded, "Yes".

I disagree with you answer.

Did not Jesus ate and drank with sinners while he brought the goods to them?

All men are sinners.

“Yes or “No”: do you agree with indiscriminately giving Catholic Holy Communion to protestants? A practice forbidden until Bergoglio came along.

Jesus had the last supper with Judas present. He had communion with the man who betrayed Him. Are Protestants below Judas in Jesus’ estimation? Pope Frankie said “Who are we to judge?”. Jesus had severe condemnation for those who felt themselves superior spiritually and religiously to others. This hasn’t changed.

Do Protestants believe in the true presence of Christ in the eucharist?

I think the thing that’s lost in your question is not a matter of breaking bread ... that’s what Communion is seen as in most churches, breaking bread, symbolizing Christ’s Last Supper. On the other hand, in the Catholic Church, Communion or the Holy Eucharist as it’s called, is seen as the actual body and blood of Jesus Christ through the power of transubstantiation. You don’t have to believe that, but it is the difference between the Catholic and most Protestants’ view of Communion.

To answer your questions, no. Just as I don’t believe Jesus is an actual door or that we are to beware the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees because of bread making problems. These are not to be taken literally. There is sound theological reasons for this because we are to abstain from ingesting blood. Jesus knew this. The Disciples knew this. No one questioned if this were meant literally because they all knew better. There is nothing wrong with Catholics and Prots taking communion together and each convinced in their own mind they are worthy. Jesus would want it that way.

“Jesus would want it that way.”

Wow, and you know this how? I’m sorry but the presumption that any of us know what Jesus would do or want strikes me as skirting blasphemy.

Wow, and you know this how?

His character is of peace and harmony. Humble and gentle. Study and meditate upon His character every day to know Him better.

Not always. Jesus wasn’t so peaceful and harmonious when he chased the money exchangers out of the temple. He was always appropriate to the circumstances and circumstances change.

Survived worse? I wonder? What is worse than the degradation of the Blessed Sacrament? If Cath/Prot merge into some vague, non-sacramental, spiritually diminished community last supper, then... am I right?... we really don’t need a Catholic faith. Messing with transubstantiation will undermine all that’s essential to the true Church?

Plus Catholics fighting each other over the holy sacraments brings greater dishonor to them even more.

He was always appropriate to the circumstances and circumstances change.

Indeed. He was perfect. He held the the greatest scorn for the rigid religious leaders who did not follow the spirit of the Law. They were eager to stone the adulteress (what about the adulterer?). You are so eager to follow the literal meaning of His Words that you are so certain they could not be metaphorical. Many times it is this pride of certainty that led to error. (Ask Peter). Jesus' body and blood changed just as His believers bodies will be changed (in the twinkling of an eye). We will be as He is
- spirit.

Peace be with you.
