OK, explain to me why the literal accuracy of Genesis 1, as you read it, constitutes proof that there is no intelligent life on other planets.

Mere absence of mention would not work. Genesis ---like the whole corpus of Scripture --- makes no mention of, for instance, the spherical shape of the Earth or the existence of the Western Hemisphere. Non-mention does not imply non-existence.

Parallel example. God says homosexuality is a perversion and cross dressing is a perversion. Did He completely forget to mention transgenderism? So is that OK?
