It's one of the best I've read. Msgr Pope Gets it. Note that this is Archdiocese of Washington, so it will not escape the notice of Cardinal Wuerl, who by the way has decided NOT to offer the Keynote Address at the World Meeting of Families in Dublin next week.

Cardinal O'Malley won't be attending either. Now if we could just get Cardinal Farrell (McCarrick's buddy) and Fr. James Martin to back out...

Pray for Fr. Tom Weinandy, who will be addressing the "other" Families Meeting, the Actually Catholic families meeting or counter-meeting which will be convening at the same time, same city. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the Actual Catholics got invited across town to address the big whoop-de-do?

Except “Active Homosexuality in the Priesthood Helped Cause This Crisis” didn’t “HELP” cause it. It “IS” what caused it.

Even for the minority of cases that have not been homosexual, in actuality, the acceptance of this type of behavior by those in charge promoted that as well.

In my humble opinion, being in my 70s and a former altar boy, all I can say is Vatican II seems to be the start of this homosexual and other secularization of the Roman Catholic Church

There is no salvation for the Church without leadership. “Who am I to judge” Francis is unable/unwilling to provide the the change needed. He has protected the guilty with plum jobs in Rome, promoted known sinners and their defenders and denied obvious truths when placed before him.

Not even the detailed and damning report of the DA from Pennsylvania can elicit more than the now familiar and trite claims of embarrassment and sorrow and pain at the suffering of those who have been attacked by men they trusted.

The Pope should resign, the College of Cardinals dismissed, perpetrators and their accomplices remanded to the court system and all homosexual and/or pederast priests drummed out of the Church or the seminary.

That’s the dirty secret that the media never mentions.

They gleefully report all the child sexual abuse within the church because they hate the church’s teaching, at least prior to this disaster of a Pope, but they never mention that the abuse is almost exclusively from homosexual priests, because they love homosexuals.

Back in the 1930s, there was a concentrated effort among American communists to put men of questionable character into the Catholic seminaries. Bella Dodd said that she got 1,000 such men into the seminaries. She also worked with four cardinals to do it. She never named the cardinals. She later became Catholic and was brought into the Church by Bishop Fulton Sheen.

If you look at the bishop accountability site and look at the years when the abusing priests began doing their abusing it all began in the 30s and 40s. These four cardinals supervised the influx and as these priests rose in their ranks they brought others in. By the 1970s, certain seminaries were profoundly infected where good men were being turned away.

Our Lord said that just before His return all foundations would be shaken, which would include the Catholic Church.

The headline is wrong. ANY homosexuality in the priesthood IS the crisis.

It led to other horrible results: abuse of children; abuse of seminarians; consensual sodomy between adults; clericalism (needed to support the conspiracy of secrecy to hide the uncounted crimes of clerics); heterosexual unchastity in the priesthood; lax moral teaching by much (most?) of the clergy; etc.

But the admission of ANY sodomite - active or inactive - to the priesthood is a crime against God, the Church, the laity, and nature. The crime is committed by the sodomite, and by the bishop.

The LGBT movement has infiltrated many parishes across the U.S.and the world. Obviously many of the bishops and cardinals are complicit in this depravity. Sad to see one of my old parishes now listed as "Gay friendly".

These Catholic parishes openly celebrate LGBT. Why aren’t bishops stopping it?
