A non-Catholic friend of mine told me that while he did not agree with everything the Church stood for, up until this pope it provided him with a feeling that there was some anchor of morality in this screwed up world.

‘They will speak via the wallet and purse.’

don’t hold your breath...people in the pews come to church to socialize, and anything threatening that will brushed aside like an annoying gnat...

No. Vigano’s testament is not heresy. The guilty will face the judgement of God.

The Catholic church will survive, perhaps with fewer clerics and members.

‘the devil puts such great pressure upon his nature that he extinguishes the fire of natural desire’

the devil you say...advancing age accomplishes this nicely...

This is the time for Catholics who love Christ truly present in the Eucharist to pray for guidance in determining exactly how each of us is called to follow Him during this time.

We were chosen to live during this time for reasons we may not know yet and, if we ask, each of us will be given the graces we need to follow Him, no matter the difficulty.

Unfailing devotion to the Eucharist and asking our Blessed Mother to pray with us for the Church and for the grace and strength to hear and follow Christ are of utmost importance.

This is the example of St. Francis of Assisi.

Great saints will be called to help defeat this evil. This is the pattern of history and it will happen again. Great saints are in the wings and some of them are probably some of us.

Christ is always with us, truly present on earth with us in the Eucharist until the end of time.

Men will forsake us but He will not.

I stand with Him.

The civil war started a few days ago with the report from Archbishop Vigano.

Simply Horrifying! God Help Us All. Satan has seized the throat of the Catholic Church and is strangling it to death.

The tragic thing, is that all of my Catholic friends are good people who would never dream of buggery on a child. The people in the pews would be horrified. Protestant or Catholic, we all need to stand with the good people during this moment. We can save our intramural sports for another day. Right now all Christians need to stand side-by-side against these perverts. Are Catholic friends need to know they are not alone.

This Lutheran agrees with you. Let's hold the Mariology debate another day: this is Satan inside the walls, and the devil must be overcome by the power of Christ.

This is the example of St. Francis of Assisi.

Perhaps, though St. Anthony the Great comes to mind, unperturbed in Christ's strength as he overcame the dragon. Pederasty is just as disease-wracking to the body of Christ as ergotism is to the natural body, destroying it from the extremities in.

I do not believe a civil war is needed. Just stop attending Mass. Stop giving the church money. It should not take long to bring them down. Stay at home and watch Mass on EWTN. Say the rosary. Pray.

“The people in the pews would be horrified.”

Not likely.

This has been in the open for at least 50 years, and they have done nothing.

Not attending Mass would be a grave sin ... televised Mass does not count. Better to attend a church where the priest is faithful to the teachings of the Church. Give to the local church, not to the Arch-Diocesan/Diocesan appeals.

From the Vanity Fair article:

“Alongside that are suffering priests who seem sincere all the way down, who are trying to be faithful to God, and also to take care of people and change the institution. They are the ones who are always forgotten, and read out of the story from both sides.”
