The heresy is an implicit denial that Jesus and God are not one and the same.
As every good Catholic attests, Jesus is the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, Who is God.

I haven't worked through all the "predator priests" in the PA report, but a quick survey shows many of the perpetrators were ordained before VII, and others ordained after VII were sufficiently close in time that they had to have gotten their seminary formation prior to VII.

Mind you, all the priests ordained from the time of Pope St. Pius X at least through Pope Pius XII were to have taken the Oath Against Modernism.
Modernism is the synthesis of all heresies, per Pope St. Pius X!
A participant in V2 stated after the council, “Modernism has triumphed”.
What does that suggest about the root of the tree bearing such rotten fruit?

ONE person makes ONE COMMENT and that supposedly destroys all of Vatican II?? This is called "anecdotal data" in the sciences and means virtually nothing. What did the other participants think?? This is called "cherry-picking" the data to match your prejudices.
And as I mentioned previously, the larger number of predator priests in the report were definitely NOT "rotten fruits of Vatican II". Their "roots" are elsewhere.
The comment is actually based more on observations of fact as one examines the attacks on Catholic doctrine, attacks established at the council, more than on one man’s comment. His comment is merely a significant red flag.
If you explore Novus Ordo Watch website you will quickly discover that V2 opened wide the doors to evil including invalidation of ordinations and consecrations (let alone embracing modernism, which is a rebellion against Saint Pope Pius X’s direction and teaching regarding the same. Just read Pope Pius X’s writings on the topic then start reading the documents of V2 and you will soon see two opposite doctrine being conveyed!)
When men who are thought to be but are NOT actual priests they lack the grace to prevail in such a vocation. Also the evils of V2 made more and more men who lacked qualifications to be attracted to the “vocation”.
