September 11, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) Pope Emeritus Benedicts personal secretary and the head of the papal household has commented on the abuse crisis that is rocking the Catholic Church, stating that if the Church does not achieve renewal in its wake, civilization is at stake.
If the Church this time does not achieve a renewing of herself with God's help, the whole project of our civilization is again at stake. For many, it already seems as if the Church of Jesus Christ could never recover from the catastrophe of her sin which right now seems nearly to swallow her, Archbishop Georg Gänswein said at a gathering in Rome today for a book presentation of The Benedict Option by American author Rod Dreher.
Gänswein spoke about the satanic abuse crisis in the Church. At one point, he referred to Cardinal Willem Eijk's statement last May in which he referred to the Catechism of the Catholic Churchs prophecy of a final trial for the Church before the second coming of Christ. Importantly, in that same statement, Eijk had publicly called upon Pope Francis to make clarifications with regard to the intercommunion debate in Germany.

Is Ganswein a good guy or a bad guy? The fact that Bergoglio has kept him around would suggest the latter. As B16’s right-hand man, what role if any did he play in the resignation decision?
A mature and sober assessment by a real live Catholic, speaking in simple terms the truth, known by all informed Catholics, who remain faithful to the Holy Mother Church of the Ages, not stampeding into the Anti-Church.
Few bad guys speak in apocalyptic terms, regarding a crisis in the Church, so obviously caused by, and centered squarely on, sex crimes of predator priests who for decades and decades eschewed normal seminarians, passed them over, drove many out, and advanced queers instead, all the way to bishops and cardinals.
I tend to agree. Still, though, there’s just so much obvious intrigue around the upper echelons of the hierarchy that you never know who’s really trustworthy and whether their words are sincere or some sort of mask. Other than a few of them like Burke who seem like genuine straight shooters, it’s very difficult to trust any of their words.
True that. I really believe those who are good, but not perfect, who are speaking out simply attract no support. Most other bishops, Cardinals and priests are cowards, silent or compromised, or sold out, obedient to Anti-Church. Hedonists for pleasure, power, and money. Very scary time for the holy few left in the priesthood and even among the shrinking faithful laity.
Sacred scripture has warned us of these days. God is with us. Thanks be to God.
If we stay focused on truth, we will prevail. Above everything, focus on truth. Bring everything into the light of truth, and Truth will set us free.
