Remembering Nabeel w/David Wood
Acts 17 Apologetics ^ | Septmber 16, 2018 | David Wood

It's been 1 year since the passing of our beloved friend Nabeel Qureshi who was a convert from Islam to Christianity after looking closely at the evidence and arguments for both Christianity and Islam.

He was well known for his conversation told in his New York Times best seller "Seeking Allah Finding Jesus" and also working for RIM Ravi Zacharias ministries. Join us in remembering Nabeel as we speak with his close friend and popular apologists, David Wood of Acts 17 Apologetics.

Thank you, David, for your friendship with him through your college years. He was such a tremendous personality, such an example of fidelity to the Christ. I've been deeply impacted by him and continue to mourn his loss. I continue to listen to him and am so glad to have that access.

His last days were SO very hard that for a while I was imploring God to take him to his eternal rest. And yet, his passing opened a valve of grief in me which is with me yet.

Thank you for posting that picture of a young Nabeel with your boy (or boys) perched on him. It has been beautiful to see him as a young man and a new Christian.

I'm sorry for your loss and sorry, too, that his parents harbor resentment for you stemming from his abandoning of Islam. Thanks for all that you did for him in this life and for loving him enough to be sure that you'll see him at the wedding feast. I thank you, too, for what you've done for me.

Oops! Sorry OddLane. I saw the name and burst into tears. Then my vision got foggy and I replied to you. Pardon.

That's alright.

I honestly don't know if David has an account here-he tends to avoid social media with the exception of Youtube and Twitter.

He had a really moving testimony about his encounter with Nabeel's parents-who hated him for leading their son to Christ.

Because of his condition, he's not able to express emotions in normal ways, e.g. crying immediately when told of his best friend's death.

But when he met them at Nabeel's funeral-grief stricken at the death of their son-he hugged them and burst into tears.
