Abuse settlement from 2005 with Cardinal Wuerl’s name raises questions

Cardinal Donald Wuerl, who has said repeatedly that he didn’t know about years of sexual misconduct complaints involving his predecessor in the District, Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, was named in a 2005 settlement agreement that included allegations against McCarrick, according to the accuser in the case and documents obtained by The Washington Post.

Robert Ciolek, who left the priesthood and later became an attorney, spoke for the first time publicly this summer about the $80,000 settlement he reached in June 2005 with three New Jersey dioceses over his allegations against McCarrick and a teacher at his Catholic high school. McCarrick led the church in Newark and Metuchen before coming to the District in 2001; Ciolek’s high school was in New Jersey as well.

In an interview with The Post this month, Ciolek said for the first time publicly that the settlement included allegations against a third person, a Pittsburgh priest Ciolek says made unwanted sexual contact with him in seminary, where the priest was a professor. The first page of the settlement agreement lists the Diocese of Pittsburgh and Wuerl, who supervised the priest as bishop of Pittsburgh at the time, among the numerous parties to the settlement. The agreement was signed by Ciolek and the three New Jersey dioceses.

Wuerl lied about all sorts of things... he repeatedly worked to cover up and protect the homosexual Cabal in the church! He covered up a pedophile ring... he silenced victims... etc etc...

I do not deny he implemented policies that help reduce the likelihood of more abuse, but he cannot escape the fact he helped cover up and protect the sodomite cabal in the church.

He cannot remain... Neither can this Pope... if he reinstated McCarrick, then he is part of the Cabal himself... and must be gone.

If you want to know why the Bible condemns homosexuality, you need look no further than what is going on in the church... This is what happens when they get power... they should have NEVER been let into the church.. the 60s decision to allow admitted but “non practicing” into the seminaries was inexcusable... and they are dealing with the consequences of this....

Its not an accident that the number and rate of abuse went UP significantly in the 70s and 80s.... it takes 8 years to become a priest.... those let in as admitted sodomites gained their collars and went into the world beginning in the 70s... and infiltrated and worked their ways into all fo the church Hierarchy.... Trading sexual favors for advancement and other things and destroy anyone who called them out.

Until the Church admits their real problem, NOTHING WILL CHANGE... we will be right back here in 3 or 4 decades with the only difference being the names of those involved.

Protecting the Cabal is all that mattered, if some kids lives were destroyed by a rogue member, who cares.. no real investigation into true sexual impropriety into the church can be allowed or they will be exposed.... So, cover it up and move them around.

Wuerl did institute structural changes and policies that do reduce the likelihood of abuse... but end of the day he cannot escape the fact he covered up and protected the homosexual Cabal in the church, and put that above Justice for victims.

He needs gone, and if the pope reinstated McCarrick, he is part of or owned by the Cabal and must be removed...

The Church needs a PURGE... not just 1 or two, but a true purge.. if you are an admitted homosexual, you should not be in the church, PERIOD... at least not as clergy.... The decision in the 60s to let in “non practicing” homosexuals is the root of this... until that is admitted to, and corrected.. nothing will change.
