I found my self generally disappointed with the tone of the essay. It was correct, as far as it goes, but seemed to me to rely on one more social-context a snooze through what is actually and alarmingly a tragic salvation crisis. Hell is real.
Considering it was published by the Archdiocese, and not by PSYCHOLOGY TODAY, I would expect a Jesus-overturning-money changers-in the-temple tone of Truth, admonishment, and condemnation of Catholics who promote disdain for the Holy Sacrament of Matrimony.
The teachings of the Church are delivered in milquetoast to please and attract everyone but the traditional Catholic faithful. Very sad.
Is Wuerl still in charge of that Archdiocese?
