In the DC area where they were literally formed many decades ago, they were ALWAYS supporters of communist front groups supporting the Sandnistas, the FLMN of El Salvador, the Sendero Luminossa of Peru, and if I recall accurately, Castro’s Cuba and Hugh Chavez’s Marxist paradise of Venezuela.
They are more “liberation theology” Marxists than “social justice warriors”.
The Church seems to be spending more and more time and energy on all things that have nothing to do with carrying the Good News of the Gospels....when does a Christian Church stop deserving the name?
