Archbishop: Christians ‘Evangelized’ by Muslims Learn Tolerance
Breitbart ^ | 10/18/18 | Thomas D. Williams

ROME — An African archbishop told the Vatican synod of bishops this week that Christians in his country have learned tolerance, friendship, and cooperation by allowing themselves to be “evangelized” by Muslims.

Archbishop Ilario Antoniazzi of Tunis, who represents the North African bishops’ conference, told members of the synod of bishops that the few Christians living in North Africa must be very careful not to offend Muslims with an overt show of faith, Catholic News Service reported Wednesday.

Christians in North Africa must live their faith with “great discretion,” said Antoniazzi, in the midst of a Muslim majority that often sees them as “infidels, unbelievers or worse.”

By allowing themselves “to be evangelized by their Muslim brothers, that is, to learn their culture and religion,” the Italian archbishop said, they have learned tolerance, friendship, and cooperation, which are vital for a peaceful society.

“Our young people discover in this way that different religions are no longer an insurmountable obstacle but become a different path to the one God we all adore,” Antoniazzi said.

Some of the synod fathers may have found the archbishop’s use of the term “evangelizing” somewhat puzzling in the context of Muslims’ witness to Christians, since the word has a precise meaning in Christian theology, namely, the preaching of the “Good News” (εὐαγγέλιον) of Jesus Christ as the messiah, a belief not shared by Islam.

Wow, that’s blasphemy of a new sort. Claiming that Mahometans are teaching the Gospel (which is what “evangelize” means)? The Koran really teaches that the Injil (their word for “gospel”) was superseded by Mahomet’s “message”.

This guy is strongly deluded.

I'm sure the Antichrist and the False Prophet will utter similar words.

I believe we are in the early stages of the Strong Delusion. I cannot prove that, of course. Except by pointing out this error, like you did (so well). Of course it takes its full form when the Man of Sin walks onto the world stage.

Yes, that must be it. Islam is just one of numerous ways to God . . . not. Has this archbishop read the Bible in the last decade? Read with comprehension, I mean. Because this is NOT what the Bible says.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” — John 14:6
_________
The one word from Jesus so many have a problem with. “How dare a man named Jesus make that statement. How dare a man think He is the only One”. He was a man, and he was the Son of the only God who is Supreme and above all other gods that have been proclaimed.

I have heard many over the world and everywhere there are people trying to climb that tower of babal or build one.. and worshipping whomever they decide is the god they will follow. Following a belief that is false...
Beliveing and staking everything in the ‘man’ who lived in a hole in the ground and got his “revelations” from the pit he was in.

Decide to believe in the one God and the assurance will follow.

“Our young people discover in this way that different religions are no longer an insurmountable obstacle but become a different path to the one God we all adore,” Antoniazzi said.

This different path nonsense makes no sense, since Christians believe Jesus Christ is the son of God , and Muslims believe Allah is the one God and has no others involved.

This reminds me of the Geo Bush Islam is a religion of peace, and we all worship the same God nonsense. - Tom

By allowing themselves “to be evangelized by their Muslim brothers, that is, to learn their culture and religion,” the Italian archbishop said, they have learned tolerance, friendship, and cooperation, which are vital for a peaceful society.

How about the Muslims, themselves, learning some "tolerance" of Christians?
