Catholic bishops are entering their final week of debate over hot-button issues facing young Catholics, including how the church should welcome gays and respond to the clerical sex abuse scandal that has discredited many in the church hierarchy.
The month-long synod of bishops ends next Saturday with the adoption by the 260-plus cardinals, bishops and priests of a final document and approval of a separate, shorter letter to the world’s Catholic youth.
Some of the youth delegates to the meeting have insisted that the final document express an inclusive message to make LGBT Catholics feel welcome in a church that has often shunned them.
The Vatican took a step in that direction by making a reference to “LGBT” for the first time in its preparatory document heading into the meeting.
But some bishops have balked at the notion, including Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput, who insisted in his speech that “there is no such thing as an ‘LGBTQ Catholic’ or a ‘transgender Catholic’ or a ‘heterosexual Catholic,’ as if our sexual appetites defined who we are.” …

During my time on earth I've found the "youth" to be unwise, gullible and quite stupid.
The clerical sexual abuse scandal occured because the Church WAS welcoming to homosexuals.
This is a non sequentor for a true believer in the redemption given by the blood of Christ. Lgbt people should be welcomed into the church, but their deviant life style should not. In other words, if you continue to commit mortal sin, then You arent a follower of Christ and you have no business isisting on being a church member.
The phony pope has already made the church gay. Search for the picture of him with a rainbow cross. Remember “God made you gay.”

As I recall, hate the sin, love the sinner has been a Christian motto for some time.

Oh yeah, these brats want “inclusion.” They’d have probably joined in driving me out of the Church had they been around. They don’t care how anybody feels in the Catholic Church other than homosexuals.
Why do they need a special message of inclusion to a Church that says all are welcome? The Church will never condone the sins people commit, but none are turned away from entering.
They want the "inclusion" of defining their sins as not sins.

The purpose of a church service is the gathering of believers to worship Christ. The purpose of a church is not to allow the unrepentant to attend until they convert believers to accept their sin.
One: The homosexual/pedophile mafia, which has taken over the church, will at some point in the near future tell the flock accept homosexuality as normal and will open up the church to homosexuals, up to and including, homosexual "marriage". That means full communion rights. The Episcopalians and Anglicans are already there. It has been my opinion for some time now that the catholic church isn't far behind.
Two: Today's children are being brainwashed in the school system that homosexuality is normal. That includes catholic children. This process has been going on for decades now. It's just a matter of time before younger catholics push the church into being more accepting of homosexuals. The homosexual/pedophile mafia will be more than happy to accede.
The catholic church has been corrupt and mired in scandal for 2000 years now. I know many catholics can't accept that and don't want to believe it. But here is your reality. There is nothing you can do that will prevent the homosexual/pedophile mafia from implementing its agenda. Nothing. Your choices are to accept what's coming or leave the church. There are no other options. There will be no cleaning house. There will be no reformer to fix the problems. You can pray all you want. I'm sure the Episcopalians and Anglicans also prayed. It won't do any good. Your church is becoming to religion what the Democratic Party has become to politics. Sane rational people will have no place there and their only option is to leave.

Even with “Three Score and fourteen years” on the ranch, I’m still at times unwise and gullible. Being half-smart on a good day, I have improved a bit.
All that said, it occurs to me that, contrary to our innate knowledge, some of us want an authority figure, whether parent-boss-priest, to say of any given behavior or habit “it’s all right, go ahead and do X-Y-Z.”
So at some unknown point in time, perhaps a presumably benevolent churchman said “it’s OK” and in so doing, cracked open a can of worms.
I think theres been a miscommunication on my part. Christ accepts all sinners who repent. LGBT, doesn’t mean they have to live the lifestyle.
