My point being - the bible is not a collection of words by men, it is a collection of words of God, written down by men. 2 Peter 1:21 2 Tim 3:16-17
The Holy Spirit is infallible. Men who wrote the Books of the Bible did not write their own ideas or doctrines. They were moved or carried along by the infallible Holy Spirit.
This has been the belief of mainline Christianity since the Nicene Creed.
Does that mean the books of the New Testament just materialized out of thin air?
There was no historical reason for the apostles to write them? If that’s the case, why did Luke address both his books to “Theophilus and the Gentiles”?
