Under Chinese Communist Party (CCP) control, China has shown itself to be an extraordinarily dictatorial and authoritarian nation. Freedoms taken for granted in the West are not only denied under CCP rule but violently repressed. Human rights activists and lawyers disappear and are tortured; alternative political parties are crushed.
Calls for justice are met with the iron hand of the state. Muslims have been rounded up in the hundreds of thousands and forced into re-education camps in Xinjiang ...
It is also a regime that knows how to present itself to the West, saying the right things to draw support from leaders abroad. Its veneer of civility is an attempt to cover up the reality of its immorality.
I grew up under this Party-State system and personally experienced the Communist Party’s violence and brutality, and I have known and worked with countless Chinese who have been persecuted for their beliefs. It has thus been with intense shock and dismay that I have watched the Vatican’s rapprochement with China take shape....

A sense of morality based on this spiritual culture has been passed down [in China] through the ages. It remains deep in the bones of the people, despite the upheavals of empires and seventy years of Communist Party domination.
The Chinese people are awakening to their rights, seeing clearly that the CCP is the root of social iniquities, and are fighting back. Many Western countries are opening their eyes to the truth of the CCP’s evil and the looming possibility of a political and social transformation in China. At such a moment as this, the Vatican’s deal with China can only bring shame on its name.

Author Chen Guangcheng makes the point that Pope Francis has turned the Chinese Catholics over to the Chinese Communist Party at the very point where opposition to Communism is growing and even Western nations are seeing that the sentiments of resistance are spreading.
The bitter irony of it all. Just at this very moment, the Vatican crew feeds the faithful to the wolves.
Of all the hellbent things Francis has done, this is, I would say, the worst. It is damned wrong on a dozen levels. Any notorious Renaissance Pope, any Borgia Pope with private vices and personal armies would be better than this one.
Think of it: anti-Catholic Pope Francis gets to do two abominable things at once: kowtow to the Communists AND suppress the biggest, the most fervent, THE MOST traditional Catholic community in the world.
Pray for the Church. Pray for Chinese Catholics.
That's hell's two-step plan. I think the Adversary has got his meat-hooks in the Pope. Our sacred obligation is: DO NOT SCATTER.
Many will. We know that only a remnant will remain. But our orders are the same: stand fast.
"Stand fast and hold the traditions ye have been taught, whether by word or our epistle."
"I praise you because you hold hold firmly to the traditions, just as I delivered them to you."
The pope betrayed his church. It is now subservient to a communist regime. That makes the pope very happy because he is a communist and he loves communism and his god is communism.
When you compromise with the Devil, the Devil wins.
In the case the Devil is on both sides of the deal.
