Channel 2 Investigates has learned law enforcement has seized Cardinal Daniel DiNardo’s computer and several files pertaining to Father Manuel La Rosa-Lopez following a search of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston on Wednesday.
Authorities also seized a file in reference to Father Brinkman and other clergy, KPRC2 has learned.
La Rosa-Lopez is accused of child sex abuse.
Investigators worked well into the night Wednesday identifying and collecting boxes of documents at 1700 San Jacinto Street that could be evidence in the case against La Rosa-Lopez.
He's charged with fondling two children, a boy and a girl, over a period of three years beginning in 1998, while he was pastor at Conroe's Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He's also been accused by a third alleged victim, a 6th grade boy who said La Rosa-Lopez touched him.
The allegation occurred in 1992 while La Rosa-Lopez was at St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
The search warrant claims investigators believed there should be more documents than the 2-3 pages handed over by the church.
The warrant obtained by investigators Wednesday authorized them to search three other buildings owned by the Archdiocese located near the Chancery, but they quickly determined the records they wanted were stored in the Chancery.
In addition to Cardinal DiNardo's computer, the former head of the Galveston-Houston Archdiocese retired Archbishop, Joseph Fiorenza's computer was collected.

How about the Pope pay attention to this stuff and forget about telling us we need to let all the South American’s into our country.
Because he’s a communist and communists don’t usually believe in God so it’s a really bad situation.
I know these scandals and cover ups are BRUTAL, but I have read that abuse is way down and progressively getting better.
There were statistics, that mean nothing I know, but many of these cases are 20 or more years older.
The cover up is disgusting.
But are things maybe getting better overall?
I hope so. Would love to think that.
Well I always look at the years the abuse occurred and it is rarely recent.
It’s just that the cover up has blown its cover and GOOD!
Do a full house cleaning and get some new leadership.
And get rid of the gay mafia in the Vatican.
And wait for a MUCH better Pope.
While praying a miracle happens and he is ousted.

And it appears no homosexual purge has occurred yet.

The Pope unfortunately, continues to obstruct justice and defend the most vile of perpetrators. When he is finally called to account, it will not go well for him. Nor should it.

It is not good for any church denomination when another is embroiled in scandal.
I hope and pray Rome cleans house with fury and repentance.
In the meantime, there is Christ - Holy, pure, unchanging, offering forgiveness and salvation to all who call on Him and trust in His sacrifice alone.

There were five scandals at the churches i went to while growing up that I KNOW OF!
Of course that was the 80s.
But they got caught. It was NEVER a kid reporting it.
You are right. People wait a LONG time before they do, IF they do.
I don’t know how Rome can clean house when the cleaners are mostly gay and left wing :(
But again you are right, in the end the church there is run by men, ans some fruits :), and our salvation DOES NOT depend on them.
