I didnt know a church school management could do such a thing as to, in effect, leave the church? When I went to church schools, they were open to all interested, qualified students ( although non- church members had it extremely hard to get hired there even in non- religious posts). That worked quite well. What was missing in my experiences at two church schools was any moral instruction -.even in an explicitly Ethics course. The faculty were almost all catholic ( think: private club) but still the course content was devoid of any moral content. So I guess it really doesnt matter much if such church schools with 99 percent church- member faculty leave the church. Since, theyve already abdicated - for all practical effects. Interestingly, it was a couple (3) Jewish students that voiced the only concern about the absence of any moral instruction/ethics in the teaching, ha! That arose in the designated ethics course where such content was expected for sure one nice Jew, actually at the top of the class academically, said hed been looking forward to his one and only life experience with a priest Professor. Alas, the slimeball- ish instructor spent the semester teaching all the ways to avoid the code of ethics. Everyone learned the ethical rules, Truevenough. But this odd way of teaching them didnt help bolster or reinforce anyones ethical standards. Again, some church schools need to restore or at least reinforce the moral instructional content of their classes. Otherwise, Id recommend finding somewhere else to send kids even some secular schools are certainly no worse imho
It sounds like you hD s pretty good experience yes. Mostly from the chapel and other voluntary faith activities outside the classroom? That is wonderful as far as it goes. I was thinking of the moral instruction inside the classrooms - at least in appropriate kinds of courses. And the kinds of campus activities , speakers, exhibits they offer These can be devoid of moral content - or even explicitly anti- moral at some colleges nowadays
Despite coming from a Catholic home and receiving all her sacraments, my daughter sadly is not religious at all. So attending a Catholic college was not a priority for her. I stopped arguing with her on the subject. She is a good person and hopefully will change he mind one day.

Ben Shapiro was wearing diapers at the time when Reagan was leaving the Presidency. His life experience is shallow and he combines that with an exaggerated opinion of himself.
understood.
