The hierarchy of the Catholic Church is increasingly resembling the Boy Scouts of America.
They got comfortable, allowed perversion and doubt to creep in - and as a response, are simply surrendering to it and the post-modern, secular world.
If you watch through history this is a common patten not only for churches but with all Christian institutions including colleges, seminaries, affiliations. And a disaffected orthodox faction splits off, goes its own way and the cycle starts anew. The Apostle Jude warned us about this and it’s been a constant threat to every generation, one we must be ever vigilant against.
What the bureaucracy of the Catholic Church has done to fail those of faith who it is supposed to serve is just another example of the tendency for all bureaucracies to trend to corruption and focus on perpetuation of themselves rather than service.
