The Methodist communion ceremony is much different from the Catholic communion.
For one thing, Methodists only get grape juice, and the Catholics get real wine.

Catholics who believe they’re “getting real wine” shouldn’t be receiving communion, either.
“United Methodist Pastor Violet Johnicker” should mind her own business.
Unlike many folks on this forum, I won’t presume to pontificate on other folks’ beliefs … so I’m not totally clear on the United Methodist perspective regarding communion.
From the Catholic perspective (the only one that matters in this case) denying Holy Communion to Joe Biden, a manifest, obstreperous, and unrepentant public sinner and heretic is an act of mercy. It’s preventing him from heaping a sin of sacrilege on top of his sins of abortion and scandal.

Actually, no: we receive the real body and blood of Our Lord, exactly as it was at the Last Supper. It’s not bread or wine anymore.
Correct - the accidents remain but the wine is transformed into the Blood of Christ.

The tragedy here is that the Priest had to do what he did. Mr Biden chose his own way.

The average age of her congregation is about 74.
They got their last new member about 5 years ago.
They haven’t had a baptism in at least 5 years, but do a booming business in funerals.
Although they preach every Sunday about “diversity and inclusion,” her congregation is 98% white.
The church sits 400 people, but the present congregation is about 45 attenders.
They fly a rainbow flag or banner and participate in the yearly Pride Parade.
We were told there would be a falling away. Christ Himself wondered if He would find faith when He returned.
So I don’t think those that ran the good race would be surprised.
We don’t have to go with the world though.
The Catholic Church is not a democratic institution and has never claimed to be a democratic institution. The Catholic Church has rules. You take it or you leave it; and a lot of people have left it. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

Agree 100%. Wesley was a major player in the Holiness Movement. Today's United Methodist leaders promote debauchery...in the name of Christianity.
The modern Methodist church needs a reformation every bit as much as the Catholic church needed it in Martin Luther's day, albeit for much different reasons.
