Christianity Today and the Evangelical Left's Feigned Trump Outrage
Radiance Foundation ^ | 12/20/19 | Ryan Scott Bomberger

Christianity Today—which relies on the name of its founder Billy Graham but increasingly not his wisdom or character—has called for the removal of President Donald Trump because of his “immoral behavior.” The Editor in Chief, Mark Galli, was not ambiguous in this proclamation: “Trump Should Be Removed From Office.” Well, we don’t remove Presidents for mere immoral behavior.

That would’ve required the removal of all of them. There’s a reason why the Constitution is the Law of the Land and not our subjective and misapplied understanding of Scripture.

Franklin Graham called out the magazine on social media saying, in part: “Yes, @BillyGraham founded Christianity Today; but no, he would not agree w/ their piece. He’d be disappointed.” He later tweeted this revealing fact about his father: “I hadn’t shared who my father @BillyGraham voted for in 2016, but because of @CTMagazine’s article, I felt it necessary to share now. My father knew @realDonaldTrump, believed in him & voted for him. He believed Donald J. Trump was the man for this hour in history for our nation.”

Uhhh, mic drop...

Look up God gap and Nancy Pelosi 2005, it is a Democrat strategy to try to shave off the Evangelical vote as always - they felt after 2004 that was their reason they lost.

And since Nancy herself helmed it, The timing of this attack just after Nancy’s leadership against the president is very queer.

I always tell liberals that my Christian ethics allow me to vote for lesser evils, regardless of how imperfect the lesser evil is.

Bonhoeffer argued that Christians were meant to be sullied in their attempt to hold evil at bay.

I think Christianity Today will lose a lot of subscriptions. The only people who will still be reading will be the CEO of chick fil A and the pope.

But most importantly, where is the immoral in a perfect conversation?

Franklin Graham should have Christianity Today shut down.

[[I always tell liberals that my Christian ethics allow me to vote for lesser evils, regardless of how imperfect the lesser evil is.]]

Exactly- a Christian servant of a wicked king was asked why he worked for such a wicke King, and his answer was “Imagine how wicked he’d be if he didn’t have any godly influence in his life at all”

Note- I am NOT saying Pres Trump is wicked- far from it- I say this because it explains WHY Christians can support any less than perfect candidate in good conscience, knowing they are doing God’s will, and knowing that it is God who sets up kings and queens, and it is God who removes them when He sees fit-

The writer of CT maligning President Trump is actually sinning by insinuating that he knows better than God who should be president, and by claiming that people should not support the person God put in office for president- We absolutely should support this president because one He’s not a wicked tyrant like the other party would be- and because He is God’s pick- The Writer of CT apparently is too ignorant to understand this- The alternative would have been absolutely horrible for this country! Donald Trump was by far the best possible candidate to RESTORE the moral objectivity of this nation the best he could- and this CT Writer demeans him?

CT is now a liberal run rag- their articles are now very suspect and biblical- and it is my belief the many of the people writing them are CINOS-

I looked at Franklin Graham’s statement on his facebook page. Of course, the hateful left are all over the comments claiming he is lying about his dad voting for Trump, lol. Anyone that knew anything about Billy Graham knew he supported Trump.

Supposedly the editor is retiring anyway but the opinions may still be in the mag.

Carol Stream, IL October 7, 2019 — Mark Galli announced his retirement as editor in chief of Christianity Today, where he has served in various editorial roles for the last 30 years...Galli will retire January 3, 2020, and will continue to write The Galli Report, a weekly newsletter discussing recent articles of interest. In April, Tyndale will publish his latest book, When Did We Start Forgetting God?: The Root of the Evangelical Crisis and Hope for the Future.
Galli will be replaced by Dr. Daniel M. Harrell, who has been senior minister of Colonial Church in Edina, Minnesota, since 2010. Before Colonial Church, Harrell was preaching minister for 23 years at Park Street Church in Boston

It's hilarious to watch these people pretend like they care about Christianity or Christ.

One of Billy Graham's last books, The Reason for My Hope, which is worth reading, described his wife Ruth's reaction to the endorsement of same-sex marriage.

She said, "God has a lot of explaining to do to Sodom if he doesn't punish this."
