Querida Amazonia (QA) contains some crazy statements which have gone unnoticed.
In §5, Francis says he wants to awaken the whole world's “affection” for the Amazon region which he calls nothing less than a “sacred mystery,” a term which designates the Sacraments.
According to Francis we cannot only “love” the Amazon region but “we can feel intimately a part of it.” As a consequence the region will become “like a mother to us” (55).
Francis insists that we shouldn't view the peoples who live isolated from the outside world, as "'uncivilised' savages." Instead, he presents them euphemistically as "heirs to different cultures" which "in earlier times" were "quite developed" (29).
QA explains that the rain forest "is a being," that abusing nature means "abusing our ancestors," and that "we are water, air, earth and life of the environment." It demands an end to the "mistreatment of mother Earth" and says that "the land has blood, and it is bleeding (42)."
Francis explains that if we "enter into communion with the forest," our voices will "easily blend with its own and become a prayer” (56).

I don’t know why orthodox Christians are so happy with this. He accepts the priesthood etc - for this particular group, meaning (some) Europeans.. Meanwhile he plans to destroy the whole project in favor of his “integral ecology” Marxist neo-paganism.
Why the heck are orthodox Christians considering this a victory?
I don’t know a single Catholic that is happy with this troublesome priest.
Matthew 6:26 and thereabouts:
“Behold the fowls of the air...Are ye not much better than they?
...if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you?
...seek ye first the kingdom of God.”
Jesus indicated we are of more value to God than birds and grass. Never said earth is our mother, either.
“Never said earth is our mother, either.”
Jesus never said that “the rcc mary” is our mother either, but the Word of GOD has never stopped the roman pope or his followers from idol worship, so why stop now?
So ebb have you ever seen you rc’s at your lady of guadalupe or the san juan mission? I have and it’s much worse idol worship than anything these amazonian people are doing to include your cartoon. Do we need some hundred year old tooth or maybe some old congealed blood to make these Amazonian people more you modern day rc’s?
No such thing as “rain forest”.
It is a jungle.
“Rain forest’ has been substituted for the last 20+ years to make it seem like a forest.
No, nor do I. But I was referring to the fact that many orthodox believers were cheering for him because he didn’t change the practice on celibacy and didn’t agree to ordaining women in the Exhortation. In the meantime, they ignore the fact that the entire document is stuffed with heresy.
