It’s not just “no church.” It’s “no church, or ELSE.”

I don't know if you are a Catholic or not but there IS a Catholic television station. It broadcasts a daily 9:00 A.M. Mass every morning, from Irondale, Alabama. You can follow along with the Mass and reading...they are on the spot up to date.
The same Mass is re-broadcast at 4:00 P.M.

It the ETERNAL WORD TELEVISION NETWORK. EWTN.
It was begun in 1991 by Sister Angelica. She's passed on but her legacy is a wonder. She and the other sisters used to recite the rosary every day but the best were HER thoughts on things. She had a wonderful sense of humor as well and LAUGHED. She seemed to be a joyous woman at home with the Lord and His world.

With the closings of the churches I can still attend daily Mass by television. It's not the same of course but it's better than nothing.
I say an extra rosary as well. With the daily televised Mass with the daily readings, epistles and Gospel, I spend time every day with the Good Book. I will resume attending daily Mass when the church closures are a thing of the past.

Jack Kelley’s site is probably one of the best for Biblical Studies.

He passed away in 2015, but I have found his writings extremely useful.

Never forget that nothing can separate us from God but us.

Our good Lord DID give us FREE CHOICE, didn't He?

Our good Lord DID give us FREE CHOICE, didn't He?

He gave Adam and Eve free choice.

The rest of us are not nearly as free as we'd like to think, being now slaves to sin.

God gives us a choice and enables us to choose Him, as we cannot even come to Him without Him drawing us.

If we truly had free choice/free will, then we could come to God without His intervention.

But since that is impossible, then no, we are not free.

I am protestant, or at least that is what I’m told. But I do listen sometimes for the hymns.

I agree, I do miss Jack, he was able to put together many of the things from a prophesy aspect, that were just jumbled in my brain.

Well, there are a variety of denominations. I have an old and wonderful friend was a Baptist but changed to another denomination. HER reason was that there was no Baptist minister where she moved to.
Actually she hasn't been to "church" in decades.
I attended her granddaughter's wedding and there was a Protestant minister there. I asked her about HIS denomination and she had no clue what it was.

I asked her what the theological difference between her Baptist and current denomination was/were. She didn't know.
Do YOU know the theological difference between your own Protestant denomination and another one?

I'm not trying to be nosy but I am curious what the theological differences between between denominations are.
Thanks.

I always enjoy the hymns.

From Google
Gregoran chants are a body of chants of the Roman Catholic Church, most of which are part of two liturgical rites, the Mass and the Offices.
Origins are traditionally are ascribed to the period of Pope Gregory I 590-604.
The sacred music of the Gregorian Chant was also known as plainchant, or plainsong and named after Pope Gregory. This music consisted of a single line of melody with a flexible rhythm sung to Latin words by unaccompanied male voices.
Manuscripts date from ninth century and used a system of modes, specific patterns of whole and half steps. This single line of melody, called monophony, characterized music until about 1000 AD.

I don't often hear these chants anymore. But they were BEAUTIFUL.

I don't have a denomination, I'm a christian who believes the gospel. As far as differences in said denominations I refer to Jesus' account of the seven churches in Rev 2-3.

The following is an excerpt from a bible study by Jack KellyLink

The 7 Churches Of Rev. 2-3

In a previous study I’ve demonstrated how the seven churches of Rev. 2-3 chronicle Church history. I showed how the first 3 churches (Ephesus, Smyrna and Pergamus) have all disappeared and the remaining 4 (Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea) are all present today. Viewed in chronological order and compared to Church history these four represent the Catholic, Protestant, Evangelical and Apostate churches of today.

In Rev. 2: 22-24 the Lord warned that some from the Church in Thyatira will face the tribulation while others will be rescued and share in rewards that are uniquely reserved for true believers, which includes the rapture. The distinction will be made on the basis of their beliefs. Those who’ve remained true to the Gospel will go while those who adhere to the Catholic church’s “Jesus plus Mary, grace plus works, and Scripture plus sacraments” doctrine will not.

In the letter to Sardis, which represents the main line denominations, Jesus warned of dead orthodoxy having only the appearance of life. “Remember what you have received and heard and obey it,” He said, “Or else you won’t know at what time I will come to you.” He was referring to the Gospel, and notice He said “to you”, not “for you”. Many in the main line denominations don’t know they need to be born again, haven’t got a clue that we’re in the end times and have never even heard of the rapture. As in Thyatira, he said there are a few in Sardis who have remained true. They’ll walk with Him for they are worthy. Once again some will be taken and some left based on what they believe.

Philadelphia is often called The Church of the Rapture because of the Lord’s promise to keep us from the hour of trial that’s going to come upon the whole world (Rev. 3:10). The Greek word translated “from” here is the same one Peter used in describing the Lord’s ability to rescue godly men from trials. Remember it means away from the time and place of the event being referenced, in this case the End Times judgments that are coming upon the whole world. Because we’ve kept His word and not denied His name, He has promised us a place in the New Jerusalem, where only those whose names have been written in the Lamb’s Book of Life can enter (Rev. 21:27). This is the Lord’s personal confirmation of a pre-trib rapture, which when John wrote this in about 95AD had been taught on Earth for nearly 50 years.

The “Church” at Laodicea is really an apostate movement, a spiritual rebellion. Although it has been around through out the Church Age, it’s current prominence is a sign that the End of the Age is approaching (2 Thes. 2:3) Thinking of itself as rich and self sufficient, it lacks the one thing money can’t buy, a Savior. He’s outside the door knocking, hoping someone will hear. There’s no promise to rescue the group, who will be spit out of his mouth, only to individuals who hear and respond.

Jack Kelly? I had never heard of him ... as a preacher.
https://gracethrufaith.com/
He is obviously a very gifted, devout Christian who gives his all to our good Lord. I'm sure that he knows his Bible backwards and forwards.

You know, I think that every Christian ought to save his pennies and visit Israel. I did, with an old friend (Protestant). We went on a STEVE RAY pilgrimage. We started in Capernum and finished in Jerusalem, of course.
https://www.footprintsofgodpilgrimages.com/about-our-pilgrimages/

From Google
Stephen K. Ray was raised in a devout and loving Baptist family. His father was a deacon and Bible teacher, and Stephen was very involved in the Baptist Church as a teacher of Biblical studies. After an in-depth study of the writings of the Church Fathers, both Steve and his wife Janet converted to the Catholic Church.

He knew the Bible backwards and forwards as well.
He has a unique viewpoint of Christianity, from BOTH sides. He treated Catholics and all Protestants with the utmost fairness.

One of most poignant moments of my entire life was being allowed to visit the Tomb of Jesus. We could only go in by twos...my friend and I...and we could only stay in there a couple of minutes. I remember placing my hand on His Tomb. I still get very strong feelings thinking of it.

The Romans TOOK DOWN Mount Calvary so the place of the Crucifixion is now on the same level as Jesus' tomb, and very close to it. The Israeli government allows the Tomb and Mt. Calvary to remain as it is.

I think that both of us are truly blessed with our faith, even though we "aren't on the page." Our Lord is a good and gracious Lord, isn't He?
