Not sure. But probably in His own way. Our definition of “protect” may be different from His.

That sounds reasonable.

I want to go visit Israel I understand its pretty cool - that said I don't think I'd like to live there. Just to many political crosswinds that could kill me/family as I go the grocery store or some other normal aspect of my life here in America. Life is tough enough I don't need that crap.

What does the dual citizenship do for a some one living here other than street cred? Dat Hebrew legit he gots his Israeli passport, type of thing? Seems more likely you could just end up getting inducted into the IDF because of infada random crap.

Jews in the US are pretty safe (unless they live in NYC), but if I was a Jew living in Western Europe, I’d really be thinking about leaving. The hostility and anti-Semitism is only going to get worse.

Don't you think that if they could survive NYC they would THRIVE in the middle east.

When my friend and I visited Israel we SAW that the three groups work together: Israeli Christians, Jews and Muslims.

Wikipedia

Arab citizens of Israel, or Arab Israelis, are Israeli citizens who are Arab. Many Arab citizens of Israel self-identify as Palestinian and commonly self-designate themselves as Palestinian citizens of Israel or Israeli Palestinians. According to a 2017 survey by University of Haifa professor Sammy Smooha, 16% of the Arab population prefers the term "Israeli Arab", while the largest and fastest growing proportion prefers "Palestinian in Israel", and 17% prefer "Palestinian Arab", rejecting entirely the identity of "Israeli."

The traditional vernacular of most Arab citizens, irrespective of religion, is Levantine Arabic, including Lebanese Arabic in northern Israel, Palestinian dialect of Arabic in central Israel and Bedouin dialects across the Negev desert; having absorbed much Hebrew loanwords and phrases, the modern dialect of Arab citizens of Israel is defined by some as the Israeli Arabic dialect.

Most Arab citizens of Israel are functionally bilingual, their second language being Modern Hebrew. By religious affiliation, most are Muslim, particularly of the Sunni branch of Islam. There is a significant Arab Christian minority from various denominations as well as the Druze, among other religious communities.

According to Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics, the Arab population in 2019 was estimated at 1,890,000, representing 20.95% of the country's population. The majority of these identify themselves as Arab or Palestinian by nationality and Israeli by citizenship. Arab citizens of Israel mostly live in Arab-majority towns and cities; eight of Israel's ten poorest cities are Arab. The vast majority attend separate schools to Jewish Israelis, and Arab political parties have never joined a government coalition.

Many have family ties to Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip as well as to Palestinian refugees in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.

Galilee Bedouins, Negev Bedouins and the Druze tend to identify more as Israelis than other Arab citizens of Israel.

The Arabs living in East Jerusalem and the Druze in the Golan Heights, occupied by Israel in the Six-Day War of 1967 and later annexed, were offered Israeli citizenship, but most have refused, not wanting to recognize Israel's claim to sovereignty. They became permanent residents instead. They have the right to apply for citizenship, are entitled to municipal services and have municipal voting rights.

.

What we saw and heard is that all three groups work together. They all LOVE their country and want it "to work." They also know that working together will achieve better things.

Jewish Israelis HIRE both Muslims and Christians. Naturally when people work together and there is equality in the treatment, people get to KNOW each other ... and appreciate each other.
Their children might even be acquainted. Their families might live VERY near each other.

Their mutual love of Israel keeps them together. Not a bad thing.

1. You would ALWAYS and ALWAYS be a foreigner. I lived in Mexico City for two years [I had cousins there that I had never met.] and discovered that I was and am 100% American. Being a foreigner would be interesting for a while...but it grows old FAST.

2. Dual citizenship = BIG FAT ZERO.
Why ANYONE from this absolutely wonderful, fabulous, blessed country want to live anywhere else? I lived in Mexico City for two years and discovered HOW American I was.
After returning home from the Middle East after five years there I got down on my HANDS and KNEES and KISSED the floor: HOME AT LAST!!!

Remember "Hanoi Jane" Fonda? That is when the phrase: "Love it or leave it" sunk into MY brain.

...."Does God always protect those who do the right thing? "....

The prophesy is already written. Israel will be surrounded in the Last Days with a 200 million man army. The church will be raptured by then so there will be no earthly help. All the nations of the earth will be involved so even the US will be against Israel.(Cursed according to Gen 12) Jesus will return to earth and split the Mt of Olives. He will wade through the 200 million man army with a Word from His mouth. The blood will be as high as a horses eye for 184 miles in the valley of Megiddo.

A Jew is still responsible for his/her own salvation. Jesus will show His wounds to the Jews and they will repent according to Zech 12:10. Jews have died in righteous wars where Israel won. Wre they "bad" people? We know Jesus will save Israel, but many might die in the mean time.

Is a Jew judged by sodomy and killing babies or just being a Democrat? Study what happened to Solomon in the Last Days of his kingdom. He built altars to Baal and Molech with some on the same ground as the Temple. If you agree that our lives down here are not the end result of God's plan and has everything to do with our relationship with Jesus, then being racially Jewish is NOT the measure of God's judgement. A Jew can go to Heaven or Hell just as a Gentile can, but only believers can be a reborn Son of God to live in Spiritual Israel. Earth dwellers will NOT be allowed in Heaven, but only Sons of God.(there is no male or female in Heaven) Each of us must be adopted into the family of God just as Ephraim, a Gentile child of Joseph and an Egyptian woman, was adopted into Jacob's inheritance.(Israel) Concentrate on the "inheritance". Joseph's 2 Gentile children received a double portion of Jacob's inheritance from Joseph in Canaan even though they were racially impure. Also notice that it was hundreds of years later that Joshua physically went into the Promised Land and divided it up among the brothers. Jesus described it as being grafted into the Vine. There is a carnal Israel here on earth and a Spiritual Israel in Heaven. We must be in Spiritual Israel to belong to God. The New Jerusalem will come down from Heaven to be our new home.

Israel here on earth is merely the time clock of God. We must watch Israel to know where we are on God's timeline for prophesy.

An individual Jew in America, or anywhere else, is still up to God to judge. We must always look at individual judgement separate from national judgement. If you look at it as I do, America is under Judgement right now for murdering 60 million children and accepting sodomy, even though many of us are not guilty of such things. Will living in today's America affect our individual judgement? We will be judged on our individual relationship with Jesus.

We must always remember that Jesus told church people that thought they were righteous to "get away from me, I never knew you!" It's time for all of us to re examine our relationship with Him. We are warned to examine ourselves at times of Communion with Him. Trusting on being Jewish or any certain denomination won't save you.

If you read the 7 letters to the churches in Rev 2-3, all of them save one have something that Jesus wants us to change. The church at Philadelphia is the only one promised to be Raptured out of the trial coming on the whole earth. Calling yourself a Christian is not enough. That means the other 6 churches will be left behind to suffer under the Antichrist. One out of six is NOT good odds. We must be the church of Brotherly Love to be Raptured. The Ephesians were the church of legalism. Thyatira worshiped idols. Smyrna is the dead church, and so on. God is looking for people that love Him and other people. Many think they do but don't. Jesus said "If you love me, DO My Commandments". Most of us don't even try anymore and rely on Grace to get us by. Just bring it up at church that it would be easy to start to observe the 7th day Sabbath and see what happens. In the Millennial Reign, Jesus will restore the 7th day Sabbath and force observance of Tabernacles with His iron rod(Zech 14), but we don't even read Leviticus 23 in church, let alone even observe the days we are commanded to observe. Grace just means we are no longer under the Law of sin and death. According to Jesus in Matthew 5, not one jot or tittle will pass away of the Law until Heaven and earth pass away. We tend to judge the Jews at their failure to recognize their Messiah, yet Gentiles ignore every Commandment God gave us. There is a narrow way and few that find it. None of us are "good". God can protect a Jew as well as a Gentile if He chooses to. But none of us are getting off of this rock with the body we have now. Even the "rock" is destined to burn up.

So the answer to your question is "It depends".

Information taken from archeological study bible page 1468 ‘The Jewish Priesthood and Religious Life in the First Century A.D...

As taught in the Bible the Levites, descendants of Aaron, made up the priesthood.

During Solomon’s rule, the family of Zadok controlled the high priesthood.

When Persia ruled the Jews, the house of Zadok, the exclusive religious and political power, answered only to the king of Persia. The house of Zadok (Sadducees?) was in power until 174 B.C. when Jason purchased the Office from the Seleucid Antiochus IV.

Jason's purchase marked a fundamental shift from hereditary succession to the unprecedented situation of having a pagan ruler appoint the high priest in Israel, usually in return for pledges of loyalty and outright payment of money.

The following is from old notes with forgotten sources.

The word ‘shechina’ ( spelled shekinah elsewhere ) was never used by Jesus or His apostles and it can’t be found in the Bible.

Rabbis familiar with Targum use the term ‘shekina’. Targum is a translation of Old Testament never used by Jesus or His apostles. They used Septuagint or Greek translations of the Old Law.

Shekinah was not part of Mosaic nor Messianic Judaism. It is the offspring of Talmudic Judaism and the Kaballah.

Talmudic Judaism holds different ideas about shekinah. One is that shekinah was God’s first creation. The most widely belief is God has both male and female attributes and shekinah is God’s feminine nature, a concept Jews picked up during Babylonian captivity and borrowed from the goddess worship of Ashtoreth. (Catholics know her as the Queen of Heaven).

Talmudic Judaism intertwined goddess worship into their beliefs by giving God both masculine (tifereth) and feminine (shekinah) attributes. Talmudic rabbis spread the doctrine of shekinah through the Targums by using Shekinah in place of God’s name. I Am.
