Unlike immigration to other countries, olim to Israel are welcomed as long-lost brothers, educated and housed at great public expense. A combination of coronavirus and anti-Semitism is creating conditions expected to bring millions of Jews home. But the Israeli government, already stretched to the limit, is concerned they may not be able to fulfill the prophecy in the proper manner.
The Knesset’s Immigration, Absorption, and Diaspora Affairs Committee met last Wednesday to discuss a major dilemma: Jewish immigration is expected to double nest year but budgetary constraints will make it difficult, if not impossible to absorb them into Israeli society.
Earlier this month, Jewish Agency Chairman Isaac Herzog reported to the committee that an estimated 250,000 people, mostly young people, will immigrate to Israel within the next three to five years. Herzog added that the number of people who have contacted the Jewish Agency about Aliyah from English-speaking countries has increased by 50%, and by 70% from French-speaking countries.
Israel could receive as many as 90,000 new immigrants in 2021 – nearly three times the number of immigrants in 2019.

Service in the IDF is part of the plan for most of them who are young enough.
Those that go to Israel are mostly those that are at least somewhat faithful, religious, have God in their lives. They’re mostly sensible enough to also WANT to serve in the defense forces. Most of them anyway.
The ones who stay behind in the diaspora/exile tend to be the “reform” commie types who aren’t very (if at all) Jewish anyway, they’ve substituted their sicko leftist politics for any real religious faith.
(Judaism does teach the necessity of working for a just world in terms of a good legal system with honest courts. And individual voluntary actions to help others who need help. Judaism does NOT teach communism or any other kind of forced or dictatorial control over society. Free will and the dignity and worth of every individual person is central to Jewish thought. So what we see with the leftist “Jews” are people who support politics that are antithetical to core Jewish or Biblical moral/theological teachings. We notice them making political noise because they hail from an identifiable ethnic minority. We do not so often “group” the far more numerous commie/leftist “Christians” and (more honest: atheists) as “Christians” because we realize that there are millions of Christians who oppose such dangerous politics. Perhaps we can be mindful also of the many Jewish people who likewise oppose dangerous leftwing politics. This will give us a clearer picture of the problem (and it will be fairer, too).
And perhaps we can encourage all the commie-leftist types, whether named Schumer or Pelousy or Maxine Waters or “de Blasio” to emigrate to some very remote island off the coast of Antarctica?
Russia & former SSR states have always been a high source of emigration for Israel.

The Jews are fleeing Europe. The post-war promises of “never again” have been forgotten in Europe’s rush to commit collective suicide through muslim immigration. They import millions of Jew-hating jihadists, then feign surprise when the Jews flee for safety to Israel. The anti-semetic Euro-trash are deluding themselves thinking that this marriage of convenience with islam will last. After driving out the Jews, the muslims will then seek to make the entire continent of Europe subjugated to islam.
Should is be a surprise that as muslims leave the middle east Jews feel more and more pressure and anti-semitism within the governments of their own nations rising they would decide to find a place where they know they will be welcomed and defended?
This is why they should have deported back to Jordan all the Arab squatters left over from the Muslim occupation when Israel took over all the lands in 1967. BIG mistake.
Is Israel running out of developed land? I hope not.
People forget just how tiny this country is, compared to it’s neighboring countries. It’s a miracle Israel has survived as is for so long. They are literally surrounded by adversarial Middle East states.
Israel is one of those rather small countries that has had a huge influence on modern civilization.
Other such countries include Japan, Germany and France.
