It sounds like the total eradication of a culture of willful seduction into sinfulness.
Regarding the young virgin girls : wealth, in those days, was measured through willing working hands and extensive family members.
The virgins were young and would not remember the sinful ways of their elders.
The eradication of the sinful culture and population complete, Israel became richer through the spoils of war.
