Adjusting the drapes while the house burns.
This is a joke, right?
It’s funny seeing the comments from people who have no idea what pinks and greens are.
they aren’t literally pink or green. yeesh.
Copied from the WWII uniform:
I kind of like them. They are retro.
I wore pinks and greens in ROTC then wore the Army green uniform on active duty. At least the pinks and greens looked like a military uniform and people didn’t confuse you with a bus driver.
As an Office uniform the pinks and greens are better than a field uniform. But I hope they keep the blue for formal and ceremonial occasions.
The original Pinks and Greens was a great uniform. There was also an optional dress shirt which was a dark rose pink which a number of the Army Air Corps fliers wore.
Watch the timeless Christmas movie, "White Christmas" -- and look closely at the officer's uniforms worn by Bing Crosby and the General...

Having said that, I devoutly hope that this is not another "must buy" uniform edict for already cash-strapped enlisted troops!
Less than a month before I left the USAF, some bunch or Pentagon chair-warmers edicted that all USAF troops WILL PURCHASE the newest "Class A" uniform in some new, slick fabric. Fortunately, I was able to have mine custom-made in Hong Kong.
It looked great -- but, I wore it a maximum of two times -- and, as a civilian, promptly "outgrew" it...
What a waste of several hundred much-needed $$$!!! :-(
Nice new uniforms and all the money involved won’t do a thing to clean out the moral rot taken hold in the Army or other branches. The cross dressers, homosexuals, using women as cannon fodder moves forward relentlessly. No one seems to care so long as the left wing media and politicians keep quiet and watch the military destroy itself with the approval of the generals like Mattis, Kelly, McMaster and others.
Sadly, none of the options suit armor.
The field dress doesn’t either, it looks cluttered and lumpy with all the gear attached.
This seems a better starting point -

Add armored robot horses for personal transport and logistics.
And will the Ike Jacket be included?
I know that the US Army Center of Military History was asked for information and photographs about the WWII uniforms. It was the officer’s version that was nicknamed “Pinks and Greens” from its tan trousers and olive drab jacket. Khaki colored shirt and tie and brown shoes. Enlisted uniforms were olive drab trousers and jackets.
And I wonder if that means Khaki’s will come back as the standard “Class B” uniform?
I don’t get it. 8 to 10 years ago they brought the blues back (and looks sharp as heck, imho). Now another uni change?
You’d think the govt.is printing money or something. ;-)
An improvement would be abolishing ribbon only awards like the “rainbow ribbon” and some of the other b.s. medals.
This probably means that paratroopers will go back to brown Corcoran Jump Boots when wearing this uniform.
I worked for a CW3 who might very well have served under Black Jack Pershing. He used to tell me stories about his days in the “brown shoe” Army. Great guy. He had so many connections he could get just about anything our outfit needed.
