the missing California GOPers are in Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Texas and other points east; they were among the creators and producers who left the state due to its uber-Liberal business bashing policies

Democrats are down as well. The trend toward independents marches on.

How can a state that has lost so many people have the highest number of registered voters than before? Are they illegals? I am tired of a state that has so many illegals having such a large number of electoral votes. I feel like foreign voters are controlling my future.

Those Republicans remaining must be the squishy type who actually think you can have detente with the Socialists running their state. Surely all the conservatives have abandoned that stinking ship long ago.

There are many more hospitable places to live, especially since Mexico is taking over CA. They only thing they need from Anglos is their money.

I’m stunned the percentage of Republicans in CA is that high.

I would like to see a slow down of Federal dollars flowing into California. As on of the most liberal states fiscal wise, the rest of the U.S shouldn’t be subsidizing dubious California subsidy programs.

If they [California’s] want to fund illegal alien’s work, school, medical and other social programs, let it come from their own general tax revenues.

Hard to believe that this is the same state that voted for Reagan twice.

The Detroitification of California continues.

In 40 years how many ruins will the state have?

It will be interesting to see if 29.3% of the electorate will pay 100% of the taxes. Without conservatives to provide the money for liberals to spend, they run out pretty quick.

I know you guys love to trash talk California because it allows you to pretend that your state doesn't have its fair share of left wing nutbags, but the explanation for the low Republican phenomenon is actually pretty simple: conservatives in CA generally don't bother registering as Republican. Why? Because the Republican Party sucks, that's why, and the California Republican Party sucks especially bad. I've been voting conservative since 1992, but I've never registered as a Republican. There's no point. We're one of the last states to hold the presidential primary, so the candidate is picked before we even get to vote.

Think of all the frustration we have with the Republicans at the national level, and multiply it by 10. That's the CA Republican Party.

GOP registration dips below 30 percent in Calif.

Sounds like the taxpaying hosts ("Republicans") are fleeing and leaving the tax-eating parasites ("Democrats") behind.

Of course, in the end, who cares? The only danger to the nation is that California continues to welcome Mexican hordes and gains additional House seats and therefore, electoral votes. If only secession was viable for the civilized parts of California...
