I am reminded of the story about the legendary Marine Sniper, the late Carlos Hathcock where he was able to snipe an enemy marksman, just as the two sighted each other. Hathcock's round entered the VC's brain by traveling right thru the tube of the scope and into the eye of the VC.

All Marines are riflemen first. The MOS is secondary to that...and now, with the new training given to Marines for the close encounters they can face in these surroundings the Marine Times has called them "Gunslingers". Cool, huh!
