Bush comes to aid of Secret Service agent (vanity, old thread)

President Bush stepped into the middle of a confrontation and pulled his lead Secret Service agent away from Chilean security officials who barred his bodyguards from entering an elegant dinner for 21 world leaders Saturday night.

Several Chilean and American agents got into a pushing and shoving match outside the cultural center where the dinner was held. Bush noticed the fracas after posing for pictures on a red carpet with the summit host, Chilean President Ricardo Lagos and his wife and first lady Laura Bush.

Bump. W has had his mistakes, but I am always grateful for his presidency. He restored dignity to the White House, and he and his wonderful family will be missed.

And most of all ... 7+ years without another attack.

Thank you, Mr. President. And God bless you always.

Bush has had his share of mistakes but W will be missed greatly.. He was the leader this nation needed on and after 9/11. I just wish he handled this bailout differently. But God bless Bush..

I actually can recommend the movie “W.”—I found it very close to the biography I read of him, and I enjoyed the movie very much. Balanced and accurate. It really showed the weight of the office. Give it a look.

Watch this thing again. I believe it was an attempt on W’s life. He was smart enough to quit walking ahead, and alone!, and go back in the crowd and get his agent(s), and also make himself a harder target. That thing didn’t just happen by chance. I believe a couple more steps and a shot would have been taken. Thankfully it didn’t happen. Say what you will about the guy, he at least gets it that we are at war, and it is a serious thing.

I tend to agree with you.

That event has never happened anywhere else with any other leader.

“I believe a couple more steps and a shot would have been taken.”

Thank God his guardian angel poked his brain and asked, “Hey cowboy, where’s yer posse?”

There was some story a while back about Bush’s mountain biking. I guess they were up riding and either a reporter or Secret Service agent wrecked their bike.

Bush keeps peddling past and yells back “keep up you pansy”

That was accdg to some wacko psychics on George Noory the 2nd assassination attempt on W ( I forgot which was the 1st one) and that W cheated fate of what supposed to happen.

There’s also another story that I heard on O reilly or Rush that Bush every 3 months cooks a BBQ ONLY for the Secret Service detail and they just talk like like they’re old drinking buddies...no protocols. He might be a RINO but he’s protected my 6 for close to 6 years. Thank you Pres Bush. I dislike you for your pro-illegal and bailout nonsense though.
