Vice President Joe Biden told the U.S. Military Academy's class of 2016 on Saturday that greater diversity, including more women and openly gay soldiers, will strengthen the country's armed forces.
He told the crowds: 'Having men and women together in the battlefield is an incredible asset, particularly when they're asked to lead teams in parts of the world with fundamentally different expectations and norms.' Biden made his speech at the graduation ceremony held at Michie Stadium on the West Point grounds along the Hudson River.

These lies are being ginned up because having the military be an example of strength BECAUSE of not tolerating such factors would serve as a stern rebuke to the indulgence of these factors in civilian society (even though there are other things that we consider okay in civilian society that we would never want in the military either).
DADT at least gave those who wanted to show that gay could manage well in the fighting forces, a chance to show it. As far as I am aware, it never did. This is pure doctrinaire horse hockey.

This contrarian thinking tells you that diversity makes you stronger and unity makes you weaker. It is illogical and therefore liberals think it is brilliant.
Not to knock women or gay men, but why don’t pro football teams put more women and out gay men on their teams? I mean, they want to increase the strength of their teams, right?
