The island country of Cape Verde announced on Wednesday that it will no longer be voting against Israel in the United Nations.
The decision came following a meeting between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Cape Verdes President Jorge Carlos Fonseca, who then instructed his envoy at the UN that the island in West Africa would no longer be voting against Israel.
Netanyahu welcomed the decision on Wednesday evening.

Don’t see Cape Verde in the news much, good for them.
For all I know, I’d think their main export is hurricanes. (or, tropical disturbances, as the case may be)

A positive development, but so minor as to be almost depressing.

Cape Verde had been a poor Marxist state who's only business, as I saw it, was to be an air stop across the Atlantic for boycotted countries airlines. Ask the people who work for South Africa Airlines. I bet Netanyahu made a deal which they desperately needed.

Have you been to the cape or to the islands (which constitute the nation)? They were uninhabited until Portuguese explorers discovered them. The mainland Africans were unaware of their existence. So much for theories that Africans founded the Olmec civilization in Mexico.

I’m glad to see it, now I wonder what Israel is going to do for them...investments? I hope so...
