The usually busy streets of the historic downtown of Charlottesville saw its tourists and locals substituted with heavily armed police and protesters this afternoon, following altercations which lasted from Friday night through to Saturday morning.
Originally billed as a protest in favour of free speech — alongside the disdain over the removal of Confederate statues in the city — the “alt-right” rally found itself transformed into a torch-wielding, Nazi-flag waving dereliction of American values — at least considering the publicity afforded to the event, and the behaviour of some of the rally’s attendees.

One reason I left VA - can’t stand their politics. It’s actually two states. Southern VA is part of the Bible belt and generally conservative and patriotic. But northern VA which seems to carry the state is an extension of the leftist DC Deep State Swamp.

You haven’t been paying attention. The cops actually steered the the two groups together. They told the Alt-Right group (who had the legal permit to have a rally) they had to leave and steered them into the Antifa group. The police chief is a Commie I believe.
When is somebody going to finally declare BLM and ANTIFA Brownshirts Terrorist Organizations and extinguish them permanently.
