10 Killed, at Least 29 Wounded in Chicago Weekend Shootings

Ten people are dead and at least 29 have been wounded in shootings across Chicago this weekend.

• Two men, a 57-year-old and a 31-year-old, were caught in crossfire after two vehicles drove down the 2300 block of S. Blue Island with occupants firing shots at one another. The 57-year-old was taken to Stroger in stable condition after being shot in the arm and leg, and the 31-year-old was taken to Stroger in stable condition after being shot in the arm.

• A 33-year-old man was sitting inside a home in the 2900 block of W. Roosevelt when someone outside fired shots, striking him in the chest. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in serious condition.

• Four people were shot and killed in the 4700 block of S. Fairfield Ave. at approximately 8:35 p.m. Three men, all of whom were gang members, and a 28-year-old woman, were all shot while sitting in a vehicle. All four were pronounced dead at the scene.

• The driver of the car she was in got into an argument with another driver, and that driver fired shots at the car

Obama, speaking via webcam at the meeting in Chicago, left no doubt that a binding contractual agreement won’t be coming.

It is time that President Trump order in the National Guard to lock down Chicago and order an immediate curfew. Troops will do a sweep of all the gang neighborhoods with drug sniffing dogs. Anyone with outstanding warrents—arrested. Anyone possessing illegal drugs—arrested. Anyone with weapons with previous felony convictions—arrested. Anyone illegally in the country—deported. Prison camps will be formed for all those rounded up in the sweep.

But not to worry, because as insidious as it is to say it, “replacements” are being “created” by “others” so there will never be a shortage of “cannon fodder” in Chicago’s South Side Neighborhoods. By allowing this cycle to continue, Chicago’s “white establishment” let’s the world know that they really don’t care, nor do they really every intend to do anything effective to stop it. “Gun Control” is just a convenient sham to cover over their neglect.

A treatment should address the cause of the disease, not just put a bandage on an open sore. The cause is the toxic aftereffects of social policy. The purposeful destruction of the family was caused by giving more money to unwed mothers than to wedded mothers, a lifetime of government dependency and people not being held accountable for their actions. Then there’s the toleration and veneration of a dysfunctional black anti-education, anti-white culture.

Sending in the National Guard would be taking ownership of the problem while having no effect on the cause of the problem. Yes, it might make the streets safer, but at the cost of polarizing blacks against the National Guard instead of against each other. Is it possible that there would be no organized “resistance?” There would be anti-Guard riots and plenty of shootings directed at the Guard.

The answer to solving this issue lies in undoing all the dysfunction-causing social policies initiated by Johnson’s Great Society. Frankly, I think that can’t be done because...racist!

Not all problems have a solution. Sometimes only the death of the entire culture will put a stop to the problem. Bread and Circuses with live executions would still be the norm if the Roman Empire had never fallen. I don’t look forward to that kind of “solution” but I see no political will to attempt any other.
