The Russian lawyer who met with Donald Trump Jr. during the 2016 campaign while promising damaging information on Hillary Clinton offered President Trump's eldest son opposition research created by Fusion GPS — the firm behind the unverified Trump/Russia dossier, according to Reuters. ... Glenn Simpson, one of the firm's founders, met with Veselnitskaya before and after her 2016 meeting at Trump Tower with Trump Jr., Paul Manafort, and Jared Kushner, according to the report. But Simpson was unaware that the meeting had taken place, according to a source familiar with his testimony to the special counsel probe.

Catherine Herridge now reporting as well that it is now confirmed Russian operatives were involved with payments from Fusion GPS - reportedly, "The sources told Reuters that the negative information that Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya wanted to give to Republican Trump’s campaign at a June 2016 meeting in New York had been dug up by Fusion GPS in an unrelated investigation." Trump folks have pretty straight forward explanation for this meeting and it is now clear as day the whole thing was a setup by Clinton / Obama DoJ and Trump Jr. didn’t take the bait & even if Trump had - so what? So who ends up with surveillance for this meeting? The Russians? Simpson? No ... Manafort and Trump! How can that be explained? Why, if so interested in this for initiating and unmasking, would Manafort and Trump be “wiretapped” ... but not any of the others, if the others (likely) weren’t? Were these meetings between Fusion GPS and the Russians monitored as well? If not, somebody’s got some ‘splainin’ to do ;)

This meeting appears to be a set up by Clinton, Fusion GPS and others.

Fusion GPS met with lawyer before and after the meeting and organized the sting. Who knows what they planned and how they tried to entrap Trump JR.

Sounds like one more slimy Clinton operation.

Clinton and DNC paid for the phony dossier on Trump and since Donna Brazile revealed Clinton's secret agreement to control the coffers for the DNC, that means it's collusion by Clinton and Obama with the Russians to thwart the election - exactly what they're accusing Trump of! They try to set Don Jr. up but Trump campaign didn't take the bait, yet Clinton paid for her's & gave it to McCain and the press, while the meeting served the purpose for getting the FISA warrant so they could monitor and unmask Trump campaign. Simpson clearly perjured himself to FBI and to Mueller + his grand jury. Veselnitskaya has now just changed her story as well (good timeline of recent events here). This puts any meeting between Trump & Putin in Vietnam in very interesting context.

“Hillary approved Podesta’s decision to pay for the dossier by funneling campaign funds through Marc Elias,” the strategist said, referring to the lawyer who represented both the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

“The dossier was delivered to the Clinton campaign by [the opposition research firm] Fusion GPS in the summer of 2016, and Hillary read it and was thrilled by its salacious content,” the strategist continued.

“She bragged about it so openly that many of the people in her Brooklyn campaign headquarters were aware of the existence of the dossier. Hillary referred to it as her ‘secret weapon’ that would ‘blow Trump out of the water.’”

With Hillary’s knowledge and approval, top-ranking people on her campaign staff, including campaign manager Robby Mook, communications director Jennifer Palmieri, and press secretary Brian Fallon, leaked the dossier to friendly journalists and members of Congress.

“They leaked the story that Trump secretly agreed with the Russians that, if elected, he would not interfere with the Russian takeover of eastern section of Ukraine, and that he promised Putin he would end oil sanctions,” the source said.

How did she come to possess this "research"? Who paid Fusion GPS for the research if it actually existed? Was the "unrelated Fusion GPS investigation the Trump Dossier?
