Vox Casts Beto O'Rourke as a Tuesday Texas Loser
Newsbusters ^ | March 7, 2018 | P.J. Gladnick

Although much of the mainstream media such as The New York Times and CNN has recently gone ga-ga over the candidacy of Texas Congressman Beto O'Rourke (D) who currently is running for the U.S. Senate from that state, Vox wasn't quite so kind in analyzing how he did in Tuesday's Democrat primary. In fact they called him a "Loser (sort of)" since he underperformed despite running against nonentities in his primary.

Vox's loser label for O'Rourke came in their politics reporter's, Andrew Prokop's, assessment of the Texas primary election:

Robert O’Rourke doesn’t have a Hispanic name in any way, Cruz does, for this election, it may benefit him as well.

One article said this Hispanic woman who ran in the Houston area as a Democrat actually, for that area did pretty well.

As TX turns into more of a Hispanic minority-majority state, this may help those with Hispanic surnames but I’m not sure about the overall picture down the road. 20 years ago and all before, I don’t think a Hispanic was ever elected to statewide office in TX.

And that analysis just confirms democrats (imported Mexicans, local born Mexicans, and inner city democrats) are racist to their core.

Now, the NY national press corpse are racists, bigots and sexist to their core as well - but that’s OK, because they only hate politically-approved groups - Americans.

Beta O’Rourke co-sponsored the democrat gun grabbing bill. That doesn’t work in Texas. He’ll get trounced in November.

Why look at him!
How Kennedyesque!
Same dopey look, same toothy grin!
No wonder the left is in love with him!

But his own mother won’t even vote for him.
“Toast” O’Rourke be thy name.

Folks, it was not a defeat for Democrat, “Beto” O’Rourke, Republican senator, Ted Cruz slaughtered him politically from A-Z. In the November, Mid-tern Elections, Ted Cruz will beat this fool by over a million vote victory margin.

If I were a Texas Democrat...I would just sit home and not vote at all!!! Trump, Cruz, Abbott, etc. win, hands down. MAGA!!!

You are confusing Hispanic/White with liberal/conservative.

Texas is not a liberal state. Doesn't matter if you are white, red, brown or black........if you are a gun grabbing Socialist, you aren't going to have a good run in Texas, as it stands today, beyond liberal enclaves in cities like Houston, Austin, San Antonio, etc.

Cruz won his Senate seat because he had conservative values that were more in line with Texas than Dewhurst, the man he ran against. Cruz had an energized "base" that came out to vote for him in the primaries....Dewhurst didn't. Then it was a breeze to beat out the Dem in the Nov election.

The Irishman, running under a Hispanic nickname, is hoping he can achieve something similar because he is counting on Trump loyalists "staying home" in order to "punish" Cruz for the heated Presidential contest.....while he's been pandering to Hispanics for the last year and has an "energized" base.

I'm hoping he's wrong....but time will tell.

Well, I haven't seen this much excitement about a candidate, in the Hispanic community, in quite a while.

They seem to view him as another Obama or Kennedy...come to save them from those "evil" Republicans.

Even "non political" young people, I know, are all "aflutter" about the "cool" non-Hispanic-Irishman who visits their communities.

Comparing that excitement to the constant sour grapes I've seen on "conservative" FR about Cruz.....I think it would be "unwise" to assume that Cruz will "easily" beat the Socialist.... unless the oblivious Conservative base gets just as "fired up" to stop Robbie Boy from going to Washington.
