A new poll found a majority in the U.S. disapprove of President Trump's handling of a Monday summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but that among Republicans, there's widespread doubt that Russia intervened in the 2016 election.

Overall, 55 percent of poll respondents disapproved of Trump's handling of the Putin summit, and 32 percent approved.

The poll was conducted Tuesday and Wednesday by CBS News, and it found a partisan divide in reaction to the summit, which Trump said Thursday was "a great success, except with the real enemy of the people, the Fake News Media."

I believe the Russians have “meddled” for the past 100 years. It’s what they and many/most other nations do. Garbage poll.

“A new poll found a majority in the U.S. disapprove of President Trump’s handling of a Monday summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin”

The effect of the enemedia constant bombardment on the issue supported by the warhawks in both parties.

What should Trump have done at the presser, called for his aide to come forth with the nuke codes?? I cannot believe, actually I can, this level of stupidity by the public. IMO, everyone who did not support his position should have immediately been outfitted with a uniform, given a rifle, and put on a transport to fight.

Meddled? Yeah, I suppose they are hacking us all the time to get whatever they can to gain advantage.

So does everyone else. Including our friends.
And we do it to them.

The word smiths chose the term “meddling” for a reason. It is legally and process wise meaningless to meddle. It is also impossible to prove or disprove, since it has no thresholds.

Russia didn’t meddle with my vote, but I’m supposed to believe they meddled with other people’s vote?

Meanwhile Obama, the CIA, FBI, and NSA meddled with my vote, and a bunch of Mexicans meddled with my vote, but that’s okay because we did this to them by existing or some such crapola.

Thanks to the filthy lying media spin.

The Russians have been wildly successful in accomplishing their goals. What were their goals?? Their goals were, and are, to weaken America and make themselves stronger. How have they accomplished their goals? They won the battle by sowing anger, turmoil, distrust in government leadership, in the capitalist economic system, etc. Who have been their major agents to accomplish the Russian goals? The democrats and media of America have been in lockstep with the Russians in accomplishing their goals. What have the Russian twelve done?? - little to nothing!! - Amen

Did russian agents illegally vote in any states? Otherwise I don’t think they meddled anymore than you could say England meddled because BBC news ran an Anti-Trump news story.

Slightly amended wording on the question and it'd be well over half of Republicans doubt Russia meddled any worse than they always have.

Actually 55% disapprove of Trump handling of the Summit is not bad given the avalanche of relentless attacks including the “bi-partisan” condemnation. Notice completely absent are the facts that even Rsoenweasel said the outcome was not impacted and the Russian TRIED and failed to hack the RNC.

Look, I have a a confession to make. When I was on the way to vote for H-> Rodham in ‘16 a man approached me and gave me a free bottle of Stolichnaya and in a rough eastern European accent told be to vote Trump. So I did.

I don’t believe that the Russians meddled in any significant way that’s different from what they’ve always done. I think the biggest foreign meddler in the last election was the UK...and they should have to pay for that.

You really don’t want to open up the topic of illegally voting. Once you do that...we go to a national ID card, double-checking state poll listings, etc. Dead people come off....illegals fade away....college kids voting in dual states would stop. Yep....you just don’t want to suggest that Russians voted.

Right! Where in the USCode is the definition / description of “meddling”? What does that even mean?
Just like “collusion”. Fake junk terms from fake junk people...
